Buying a new laptop

So I am buying a new laptop for college, graphics, music editing, and botting. I would like to run maybe 5 bots but I would really settle for 2 or 3. I would also like to run some reasonable games, I mostly play strategy games so anything that can run Starcraft II is good with me. The catch it that I only have 400 - 500 USD, I know it may be a little unrealistic. Any recommendations?

You're not going to get what you want for that price.

You could run Starcraft II on low with this:

But even that is $30 over your budget.

Mind you I wasn't able to look very in-depth because of the server problems.

You're not going to get a good dedicated gpu or processor for $500. You should get a higher budget.

 

How have you gotten the money for the budget so far? You could try using an old laptop for a bit and getting 100 or so extra bucks. that would help alot.
Try getting a very basic laptop that can easily be upgraded when you have the cash.

 

Why? The only thing really worth upgrading on a laptop is the RAM and HD. You will definitely need a decent processor. Something a "basic" laptop won't have.



But on the other note, even another $100 will make a huge difference. $500 is about the price for low-end craptops.

 

MSI makes some good gaming laptops.
