What happened to fagex?

both .net and .com redirect to something owned by Jagex.
What happened to that site?

Have they moved elsewhere? like Gold4RS > Gold4Fun, or did they just shut down?

 

as far as im aware its just gone, tbh it died a long time before jagex took the domains.

 

Owner of fukjagex hacked 1337_macros registrar account and stole the domain. Jagex sued owner of fukjagex over the fukjagex domain for TM infringement. Owner of fukjagex had to turn over all his domains that had to do with Jagex to avoid legal action. Fagex was one of those domains.

That was how I remember shit going down.

PS. had to misspell fukjagex intentionally, figure it's ok to bypass the filter since the site is no more anyway.

 

When people said fagex I always thought they were refering to jagex being gay, not a website rofl.

I should write an ebook about my fully accounted association as an original member, mod, supermod, admin, and owner... it'd be the fourth time in the last two months that I've had a reason to fully literate my experience with fagex ;-;

To sum up the end; the last owner before me ruined the site irrevocably. After I acquired it, 1337_Macro and I shared a PM on the forum (not the smartest thing, but it was the most convenient at the time) that included a password to our domain account. That password was taken by fuck-jagex, and then fuck-jagex lost both of our domains to Jagex LTD when they filed copyright against them.

I still have a backup of the forum mid-way through bonedaddy's time... but yes, The name "fagex" is lost forever. (it was never really a desirable name anyway... you can't imagine how many suggestion threads we had to sift through monthly had that "CHANGE YOUR FORUM NAME" as the subject.)
