there was a huge update just a few days ago... i dont play but i know people who do.

 

"People" clearly aren't Sythe.
There are threads two month old on the main page.

If you take a look around there are other sections with the same problems - Minecraft definitely deserves a spot on here, and I personally will see that it starts getting better activity.

It's a major next-generation console, no reason for it to be removed.

Wolfdog - Good luck. If you can get stuff up and running again then all power to you, but it's not up to me to make the decision, I just believe it's past its prime. Nobody's going to join Sythe for our minecraft section, and there's really no reason to keep it around.

I have a feeling it may take off when Minecraft is actually released as a full game. Look at 1.8, it got a bit more popular then. But, most of the time it is just people advertising their server on here which get's boring as that is all you see on here now.

I say we wait till the games full release, if not that then 1.9 at the very least. No support currently.

Please support your reasoning, this makes no sense.

 

We just need people who are dedicated to try and activate the section. Hold competitions, have a Sythe server, I don't know. The game isn't even out of Beta yet, at least let it hang around until the full version comes out and see what happens.

 

This game is pretty much going to live in Beta until Microsoft says they want to put it on the xbox (idk if they are still going for that).

OT: Just leave the forum for now, we've had other sub forums that were overdue to be kicked but left them.

 

Although I'm still into it a bit-- at least until 1.8 gets old, which it will fast with the new "hunger" bar you have to keep filled, and a lot of mods such as single player commands breaking under the new update-- I agree that it's no longer beneficial to sythe's forums since no one uses it. I say merge all those threads with the "other games" category.

About what Johnk said, if you guys want an official server that still works (as grave's is down at the moment, and have been for months), you all can use my server. It's fast and I can leave it up 24/7 if people use it.

 

I personally play Minecraft ALL THE TIME. Is anyone up for an attempt to revive the board? Anyone want to host a server? PM me. I'd like to see this section thrive.

 

The RSC section has 3 subsections and they are just as inactive.

If you are going to complain, might as well start there.

 

What the section really needs is to be jolted to life, like what FlyingToast is doing with the WoW section.

Minecraft has a huge playerbase, and if we could get some things going like contests and things, I really think it could be an active section.

 

I didn't think minecraft ever deserved it's own section, the ONLY market in there is buying/selling accounts which is basically useless cause each account doesn't have a difference other than it being activated.

For a general chat section / server section I still support it staying up.

 

Well the general section is what we are talking about here, and unfortunately people constantly post threads about selling their minecraft accounts. Some moderation would fix that problem.

 

I'm with you on this x339. All it needs is something to spark it to life, as it stands there is no motivation. The contest is a great idea. Maybe raffles?
