Need help with possible keylogger on my computer...

Hey Sythe,

This seemed like the most relevant place to post as I do most of my business here, but feel free to move it where the question will be answered most thoroughly.

My main was recently hacked, I suspected a keylogger, thankfully I had a pin and all they took was what I had on me. I used Avira Antivirus and MalwareBytes to try to clean my computer, but it seems it hasn't worked. I've been using an on-screen keyboard for all sensitive information.

Any suggestions?

There is a simple way to get rid of any virus.

System restore, just restore your comp to before you had the virus.

Few if not none antivirus or antimalware software will detect keyloggers. Keyloggers do not pose an immediate threat to the actual system.

 

May just want to reformat so you know 100% you got it tbh.

 

I agree with this.

Get MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials) afterwards aswell, it's free and supposedly very good.
So far haven't had trouble since I had it.

Edit: You may want to change your Sythe password as well when you are certain you've gotten rid of it.

 

nah just install malwarebytes antimalware n run a full scan.
