    Questionable Moderating

Two things that I have noticed recently, not sure whether this is a new policy or just a moderator making a mistake.

    1. Links are being left in the original forum from where topics have been moved.

    2. Moderator(s) are not responding to Report a Spammer threads, even through they are making the changes reported.

    1. That is supposed to happen.

    2. I don't quite understand what you're asking?

It helps the people who wonder where their thread is gone.

What is the problem with this? As long as they're being solved, you have nothing to worry about.

It's the "0"s in the column of replies in the second picture.

I'm not sure if they are required to, but previously all mods have posted something like "Done, Thanks."

    1. This is because sometimes a redirect is left, all this means is that clicks on that link will direct you to the thread in its new location.

    2. There's no need for the mod to reply to the thread, as long as they've explained why they've given an infraction or closed the thread.

    1. Meant to happen

    2. When they say "done, thanks", it's like free post count for mods. So mods don't do it but they still infract the user. So nothing really wrong with the moderating.

I tend to always write a reply to the reports, not doing can cause confusion. I think other moderators should do that too.

I can't see why a Mod is required to post a reaply to every spam report. Seems a waist of time considering half the spam reports I see are very boreder line...

    Why is this an issue?
    Why is this a thread?

I'm sorry, but when I clicked on this link this was 100% not what I was expecting. Simply enough, do you need them to stroke your ego that badly. Give him a cookie next time please, mods.

Many mods do post some do not, what I am trying to get at is they should not be required to post considering they are not getting payed, Locked/Closed should be fine.

You sound like a complete jack ass, like really "give him a cookie next time mods".... oh well at least you didn't add in a "umadbro". Anyways, I too was wondering why a few of my reports were left unanswered now I guess I know why.

Yeah but since they aren't exactly out there paying out ropes to the boats I think they shouldn't be paid for not posting on reports.

At the end of the day, I really don't think mods should be required to post if they do not wish to, as long as they read and do what they need to do for the report it should be ok.

I really don't see why this is a problem. So they didn't post on your report. Big deal. What I care about more is if they do the report. By posting, I think that they're wasting their time, which can br instead used to solve more reports.

    I mean seriously!

This. You should be grateful that they get done. Mods don't need to post in the reports. Seeing them locked should be enough of an indication that they have been solved.
