Life?
Shorter, sweeter, more simple.

I have a child from a girl that was a one night stand. I find this girl to be attractive, but I am a guy so I find many girls attractive. I have no long term friends, because I rarely talk. After finding out that this one night stand is having a baby (last time I saw her was 9 months ago), I got flown out to the hospital, payment from her father, and watched the baby being delivered. DNA results clearly state I am the father. I have been with the child, her, her father, and her sister now for awhile.

What I am wondering is to marry her and move out, not marry her, or what all to do. I am so astoundingly stumped right now.

Typically, people marry for love in Western Culture. Do you love her?

It strikes me that you do not. It may seem 'right' to marry her because she's the mother of your child, but, that should not be your reason. It may seem right to be fair to the baby, but, that should not be your reason. There are a whole host of reasons you may feel justify the marriage; none do but one.

Do you love her? That should be the only question you ask yourself.

With that in mind, you should try to go out with her, and see what she's like. Afterall, she is the mother of your baby. Marrying her would be a hasty and miscalculated decision, given that you haven't much of an idea about her.

I don't believe in "love." I mean I care about her, and have been with her for awhile, through her moods, and it does not bother me. I'm the type of person that gets along with everyone, but never really talks, or gets to know you. I'm more narcissistic then anything. I could be with her the rest of my life for the child. The main thing on my main is will she be able to stand me for life, or at least 18 more years? I could easily do it for her, but me not talking makes a lot of people angry.

If youcare that deeply about someone you will make it.

doing it for her is a very honerable thing to do, but then again is it the right thing? yes the child is yours, but that dosnt mean you have to be tied down in a place you dont want to be in(or do you?)
we have our ups and downs in life, and a child birth is always a up, no matter what, a child needs not to suffer for our mistakes.
if there are no feelings of true love between you two, then marrige is not an option.
Get a job, support and raise the kid(even if not with you pay him/her a visit often)

If I were you, I would see if I got along with the girl. If all goes well, then yeah, I'd agree to marriage. You shouldn't rush it though. Good luck man, and congratulations on your kid. Boy or girl?

And yet this so-called Western love does not last often.

Thanks. I will probably do this, and it is a girl.
