Truth about jagex.

Anyways, was bored today and i was just thinking about runescape. i thought about something which was very interesting.

Read all of this before you comment, if you dont please dont comment.

Jagex could easily stop botters in a matter of minutes, they got one of the best gamer coders in the world.. whats stopping them? money, just like all major companies they all want money enough is never ok they want more and more. if jagex were to remove the bots they would lose so much money because of the gold farmers around. all you people think that if jagex will remove bots all old players will come back? hell no rofl, theyve grown out of runescape they wouldnt come back because jagex came to there senses, look at when they brang old wildy and ft back? jagex brang them back for the gold farmers and how much membs they would get purchased. you all thought that if jagex brang back ft and wildy, players would come back? there are the same amount of players as there was when there was no ft or wildy...

Also another theory i came up with was private servers? you see how all of them just steal all of jagex's players? think about it jagex could easily close them down with copyright and sue them but they dont. i know the reason they dont. they dont close down pservers because if they were no pservers, people will leave rs and never come back. they would go to WOW or Habbo or LoL but because of the pservers people remember how rs is and they go back to rs, if they join another game then they would get addicted to that game and would forget all about rs. so pservers is keeping rs alive in a way if you think about it.

Silly silly boy. This has made my day. Runescape is a business and yes by not banning botters they get more money correct but the second point you made is pure rubbish.

 

i know ill probz get some hate but idc, just proving a point , if you all wernt so stupid, then you could see that i was making some sense.

Actually Jagex is doing what they can against private servers, but it costs them a lot of money, so obviously that's not their main priority.

Besides that I agree with you on the botting part. If just 1 jagex employee spend an entire day banning bots/autotalkers in f2p they could probably ban 500+ a day. Obviously they would lose a lot of money if they banned p2p botters, so that's probably why they barely ban any.

Jagex really doesn't give a shit i guess, cause cleaning the f2p would be easy as fuck and they don't even lose money on it. I guess all they care about now is $$$$.

 

Private servers don't get shutdown unless they are build 600+, those 317s can't be shutdown because they look nothing like RuneScape now and use a totally different engine

 

Ditto, It's just a bunch of personal opinion twisted into theory.

 

That is a load of rubbish about the private servers.

Yeah, RS gets a lot of profit from gold farmers. But I came back to RS after the free trade. I was an old play played rs even before they banned it and I didnt play a lot. I played it when the FT was banned but I wasnt very active player. Never bought membership. And now, after they returned FT I came back and started playing again. I even started to buy membs for my main and play membs game, so you can`t say they didnt brought back old players. But to support you, I can say, that I made small bot farm so RS gets cash for membs that I buy for my bots too. And Jagex is corporation. All they need is to make cash. Not to make a bunch of kids happy because they played 100`s of hours and reached some level.

 

I think his second point is actually pretty observant.

I've actually done this multiple times go play private servers then think man i could get rich like this on my old main then buy members and play for a couple of months then get bored and go back to private servers.

The only private servers that ever get shut down are the shitty ones no one plays so they can look like they do something. Everyone knows that they don't ban p2p bots cause of money no need to make the 100th thread about it.

 

Everyone knows jagex just want money.. they don't care anything else.

 

You were true about they could take bots down, making free trade closed again and all that shit would kill shitload of bots, but still! anyways, i think something should happen about bots soon, just wait it out..

 

Jagex can't just sue sites running private servers, some of them are operated in different countries, therfore different legal rights etc.

 

Mod MMG ruined Runescape, he is like Paris for powerbot, he is just hungry for more money..

 

Mate most P-server owners are like teens at collage lol wtf is jagex gonna get by hiring a pro team of loyers for a person who is getting no income atlall..

 

1. They can stop botters and they do. But botters can create more accounts in the same way, and they do.

2. They already sue Private Servers' owners. NickV, Sythe member, got an Email from Jagex.
