This was suggested before and i would like to reiterate it because it received little recognition. I suggest creating a sub forum in the "Our Community" section where contests could be held and participated in by members of our community. I think it would be loads of fun and it would help sythe.org stand out as one of the better places to be for newcomers perusing the site.

    Support/Discuss :)

    <+Superman> contest/tournaments would have to be staff-run

Tbh, it would be far too much to manage. It seems like a well thought out idea, but I think that only staff and highly trusted (aproved) members would host it.
I don't support the suggestion as you've laid it out.

Why would it have to be staff run? I see no reason why some people couldn't just post a friendly contest to give away some gold or something. Or some contests might not even have prizes at all, why does the staff have to be involved?

You are probably talking about my suggestion.
Yes, there should be sections for online websites/competitions (you could use referrals), for community games/competitions.

This would help to get more active members, it would be useful and it is very needed.

I edited my suggestion, let's use one thread : http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1197799

then posts five pictures of monsters

first one to guess it gets 5mil.

    Stuff like that.

You could always do that in the rs section.

Yes but I think its a great idea and if there was a section for it people would be more apt to participate.

But not only about RS, competitions would be open like the pool tournament or chess tournament.

    I do support this idea.

It would be pretty cool but for now I think it's fine to put competitions in Community General.

I agree with you but I dont think its time for members to host there own contests, also community general is a good place for it since its not too packed there. No support sorry

I don't support this, only because if there was a "contest" section, heaps of people will just make tournaments for the sake of it. I like it how it is.

Community general is also viewed a lot more.

I doubt it would be that active, just use Community General.
