Making an account marketable?

Hi I'm trying to sell my account:

But the thing is, I still have my security questions on and the email registered. I'm sort of a new member, so I don't know the new way to get rid of these and I'm sort of not trusted here because of the post count and lack of vouches. Your not going to believe me, but I'm not trying to scam anyone here. I never have before and I'm not going to now. How can I communicate with a potential buyer that I am not going to scam them while keeping myself safe from scams at the same time?

 

I suggest you start on a new account and use that for gold farming or a main or something... It looks to me like 99 magic, 10 HP sells well (like 90M RSGP or $40 or something like that...) Plus if it gets hacked or the guy claims it was hacked, you'd get banned. Don't what that, right?

 

It's not just about who's selling the account, it's also about the accounts statistics. Right now in the marketplace there's not really a high demand for low level mains, everybodys interested in some kind of pure or high leveled mains. If you wanted to show the seller that you are legitimate, and have indeed no chance of scamming; simply offer to use an OMM or a trusted free MM, with a recovery check for added security.

 

Dont rush the buyer

If you try to recover an account and it's successful you should be able to set new recoveries and an email when you get it back. Though I thought you could remove recoveries, you just needed to wait 2 weeks.

 

Pay for an official middleman.

To remove email - Go to runescape.com, email preferences, then unsubscribe.
To remove recoveries - Lock your account, then submit a successful appeal.

 

I will do that. Does anyone think someone would trade this account for a 1-3 month upgrade?

 

I would also reccomend doing this, but try removng recoveries first, because when your account is locked you can recover it instantly via email where as if your email is removed beforehand, you have to be able to submit a successful appeal with basically every detail.

Try submitting several invalid recovery attempts from different addresses, not entirely sure how to though. Of course when it's locked you'll have to submit correct details to get it back.

 

If I sold my account right now, for an upgrade, would it matter if the recovs were unchanged and the email was unchanged? Given that I'm not messing with the account after deal was done?
and honestly guys, I've been trying for weeks to get mems. I haven't had money to spare all summer, but I just want mems for another account, and I'm practically giving this account away. Why haven't I sold this thing yet??

 

you need some proxies, keep logging in from different locations (try getting proxies from a different continent) keep logging in and changing the password and the account will be locked eventually

It's allowed, but nobody would want to buy an account with email/recoveries as you could easily recover the account after you sold it.

 

Basically, when a buyer is looking for an account, he/she is usually looking for all security information.

When selling an account, I advise you take pictures of all quests, log in screen, pillars, stats, bank. Try make the thread look nice. State in the thread that you will give them all information upon purchase such as; Post code, membership details, ISP, date of creation, 3 passwords.

It will also get more hits if there is no recoveries/email. Always offer to use a trusted MM or OMM.
