Will GP Stop Lowering Price?

The price of GP keeps dropping, its at around 0.35 lowest, will it keep dropping? Why does it keep dropping?

 

Because there are influxes of gwd drops and such driving the price of gold down. Gold will only continue to decrease in price, since there's no real way to "stockpile" pure gold. 2b ish is the max you can keep in cash at a time (unless you want to keep it in your GE exchange boxes, which is highly annoying for merching purposes, etc.).

tl;dr - more gold = more supply. Demand = same, therefore laws of supply + demand = price of gold goes down.

There is more supply than demand, that should explain the drop. Bots are increasing daily which is why it keeps going down. Also, the only way this can stop is when JaGeX does something about bots but there it a limit to how low it can go tho. Not everyone will be willing to dedicate the time in the goldfarm and gp merchanting, if not a reasonable amount of money is made in a specific time frame.

 

Also, getting gold is easier and easier nowadays. At Frost Dragons, you can make 1-2M Gold per Hour CONSISTENTLY. If getting gold is easy, people want to sell it ASAP, and lower their prices insanely.

I personally love it when gold drops. It allows me to buy more since i only have 30.00 in PP atm. And since all runescape items are dropping i can get lots more!

 

Prince, rares will rise no matter what, and if the price of GP drops = less buying power and you will end up needing to pay more if you wish to buy rares. If thats your goal, so, I don't think its victory for you mate

jagex will have to seriously start banning bots before gp prices will rise, it has nothing to do wtih GWD drops/etc, gold farming is the reason.

 

Unless there will be update on game wich requires GP, I don't see reason why it shouldn't keep dropping.

I think it might drop low as 25 cents per mill. I don't see it dropping much more because eventually the big gold farmers will stop. I don't think 25 cents a mill will pay the costs to run my operation. I currently farm with over 100 bots. I don't make much profit as it is. Any lower and the cost between membership and electric won't be worth it. Luckily for me I am very close to launching my Web project. If it's a success like my last year projects I won't need to farm.

 

I'm on the same track as you, Jagex are bound to release a new skill sometime soon which probably requires gp like Construction and summoning

 

It will go low until it won't be proffitable to gold farm.
