Runescape with Ipad?

alrite well i might be getting an ipad soon so i wanna know if you can play runescape on ipad. If you cant then im getting a mac too so =]

You can't, iPod/iPad/iPhone don't have support for Java.

You could play RS using VNC to control your computer if you jailbreak it (I'm not sure if you can jailbreak the iPad yet), but it would lag like hell.

 

In fact, Saurik(The Cydia Creator) ported a JVM to the iPhone OS, so you could try to load it somehow, it would need to get programmed...

 

I really don't think it would be possible, but anyone who wanted to figure it out could ask Jay.

Everyone needs to get rid of the idea that an iPad is a "touchscreen computer".

Because it's not. It's an oversized iPod Touch. You can't even make phone calls on them. lol

 

Get a "JooJoo". Its like an ipad, but it is useful.

 

If there's a team viewer app on ipad, then you can, but you'll need your computer on, and have team viewer on it as well, just hook it up, you can't like pk on it, but u can wc/etc, without WIFI!!! this works with ipod, so not sure bout ipad---> but should work.

As I already stated, you could do this with a VNC client on your iPad and a VNC server on your PC. You don't need your device to be connected to your computer either.

Someone actually told me that the only difference between a laptop and an ipad is that an ipad can not print.

I'm sure you can, since I heard it comes with it's own separate keyboard and mouse and the iPad is supposed to be a laptop and laptop's have access to RuneScape. However, my source isn't reliable, so, don't take my word for it.

 

There's no support for Java.

 

you all act like this is impossible. you will not be able to play runescape on an unmodded ipad. but as far as it not supporting java, thats not impossible to change. I couldn't do it, but i'm sure there is someone that can, or some way you can learn how if this is really something you would like to do.


and why the fuck would you buy a Mac?

 

It has a processor as powerful as some computers today, and its java compatible, and ive read somewhere before it will be able to play most internet games.

 

Yea rofl, it's processor isn't an Intel processor, and so it's actually pretty decent.

As for internet games, I thought iPad didn't support flash?

 

The iPhone OS does not support either Java or Flash. Which is why you should never get anything using the iPhone OS.
