New rule for account trading

Hey sythers, i've been sything for a fairly long time now and i feel i know this website fairly well.
I dabble in many aspects of the runescape black market and i noticed something rather stupid.
Kids with 1 - 100 posts are "selling" their accounts with RSGP on it. And then they say "WILL NOT GO FIRST. ACCEPTING RSGP ONLY!".
I feel this is stupid. It really annoys me.
It's just a pointless waste of time for everybody.
HOWEVER - There is a solution. If you only accept RSGP, clear your banks of any tradables with value. Let's face it - there's a good chance these "new traders who insist on you going first who have money on their account and want money for their account" are scammers. By adding this rule to the forums, it decreases the amount people will be getting scammed.
EG. they buy an acc with 200m on it for 300m. They pay 300m. b00m Scammed.

However, With this rule, the customer would only pay for the stats/non-tradables and pay 100m. Then b00m scammed - they lost 100m instead of 300m.
Let me know your views guys.

 

I don't agree with that because some people with under 100+ post are very trustworthy.

 

I totally agree. However, it is literally a waste of time to sell gp for gp. It's like asking for trouble.
I'm not saying 100 or less posts = scammer. I'm saying - for example - If somebody sells an account with 200m wealth on it for 300m, they're basically selling an account for 100m and buying 200m gp for 200m gp.
It's pointlessly risking more.
It's just safer to say "Don't sell accounts with rsgp on them for rsgp ONLY"

I don't support this, if you get scammed by a scammer, it's entirely your fault since you didn't take precaution in safe trading methods.

Solution: Buy account with 200M for 300M.
Transfer the 200M from the account.
If you get scammed, you lose only 100M.

 

If they have 100m on it.
Tell them to remove the gp first, then you can offer gp.
If they don't, then say fuck off.

Why accept gp if you're selling an account with gp.

Its kind of a side rule, something you should think of yourself, if your not smart enough to figure that out on your own, i suggest reading the rules better. And as always, trade with caution.

We are reading it correctly.
If people are selling an account that has 100mil on it, and they only accept rsgp.
Don't trade with them, or ask WHY they are only accepting rsgp if the account has rsgp.

Yet I have never seen anyone do this.. unless it's like random items in the bank, totaling like 5-10m.

If the account is worth 50mil, and they have 100mil on it, and are asking only gp for it.
say "I offer 50mil with no gp on the account"
Or just offer 150m. (Let the OMM log on the account first to verify it has the 100m gp)

 

That's a precaution that the buyer should take on their own. A lot of the process of avoiding scammers involves using common sense and being cautious. And as ChristmasCracker has already said, it's rare that you see a large amount left on an account when it's traded. If it is, then it can be moved to another account once the trade occurs (with an OMM verifying that the account has it).

 

People should be aware of this and trade at their own risk.And I think this shouldn't be a rule as what is to stop a person spamming 100 posts/or a more trusted user pulling the same trick. Plus I don't think sythe should put too much of a limitation on trading.

 

When I make trades I just say to them that anything on their account is worthless. I am buying the account not the gp unless they state that the account is eg.. $100 with gp and $40 without

First off, I don't really understand what you're suggesting.
Second off, some people just "cbf" like myself to remove the 3m wealth or whatever from their accounts. Some people's give2shits levels are even lower than my own as well.

i was trying to sell my account with GP on it for GP so i could start off my new pure. I left gold on him to make him more appelaing to customers..


however utlimately he never sold on sythe, and i think people who would get scammed by this are new. * i was new at the time* Ended up selling him on PA and buying gp with the money hehe.

 

although im a newcomer i personaly think that its a huge sign of scamming if u sell accounts with rsgp already on them i mean realy? ur trying to sell rsgp for rsgp? it makes no sense at all i totally support the rule i mean why buy an account for rsgp if half the damn price is because of the rsgp already on it ill give a few scenarios to support my cause 1 being most likely and 4 being the least likely

Well I'm not too sure about this, I have about 2M wealth on an account I am selling, I cannot take it off because it is in member items and it's a bit stupid for me to buy membership just to take that money off.
