    Gaming headset

So I want a gaming headset that I can use for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

I was looking at the DPX21 from turtle beach + micro II

    or...

buying the amigo II to use with my skull candys.

Price is not an issue, I was thinking of just getting a completely new headset because skull candys (as some know) are not very flexible and tend to squeeze your brains out.

So leave feedback as to what I should do and as of now I'm leaning towards the amigo II.

If price is not an issue go with the one that doesn't squeeze your brain out. I used to have a top of the line gamer headset but I wasn't satisfied because it was like a brick weighing my head down.. comfort is a must when buying a mic you will be wearing a lot.

I've got a pretty cool Logitech one I use to watch movies.

My dad bought it for me because it blocks out all sound around me and it's surround sound headset. It's amazing.

If money isn't an issue, then go for the better one.
It depends on how much if you'll use them, if it's a lot then obviously go for the better pair.

Trust me the difference between the two is minimal, you wouldn't notice a difference...

Just snag the $30 pair and buy something expensive that actually matters like a bigger monitor or a naga razer mouse or g36 keyboard.

I know it isn't listed, but it isn't that much more so I would suggest buying the Astro A40 headset + mixamp. It's easily the best headset I've ever used. I use it for music, gaming, etc and it sounds phenomenal for everything I've used it with so far. It's compatible with pretty much anything.. pc/xbox/ps3/ipods/amps/etc.

Price not an issue? Astro A40's.

I didn't want to drop more then my Xbox costs on headphones so I went with Turtle Beach X11's. Work 100% amazing for me and were only $60, I highly recommend them.

My girlfriend's brother has these, they're pretty good for their price. I'd recommend them as well if you're not looking to spend much. The only problem is they're wired and it's a lot of hassle.. there's a TON of cords :/

I have Astro A40's and they are amazing. They were expensive but you get what you pay for. I can hear other player footsteps from long distances when playing black ops. I'm into competitive gaming so I get the most out of them.

But if you are a casual gamer I would not recommend buying headsets that are that expensive. Something in the $50-$100 dollar range may be better for your particular needs.

The by far cheapest/best priced legitimate gaming headset in my opinion would definitely be the Turtle Beach X11 headset.
    It works with PS3/Xbox 360/PC.
    The prices range from $55-80
Some more information about the Turtle Beach X11 Headset:

The Ear Force X11 is the perfect headset for XBOX gamers who want immersive game sound and XBOX Live communication at a great price. With an in-line amplifier and separate connectors for mic and line signals, the X11 also makes a great PC gaming headset.

Playing your favorite game with the X11 gives you a significant advantage because you can hear sound cues that are missed with speakers, such as the soft footsteps of an enemy sneaking up on you, or the click of a loading weapon in the distance. That means you’ll react faster and take them out before they take you out, giving you a competitive edge that can make the difference between winning and losing. You’ll also enjoy unsurpassed comfort during extended game play thanks to the large, deep-cushioned ear cups and rugged, lightweight design.

If you’re serious about your XBOX or PC gaming, then get serious about the sound. Move up to the Ear Force X11 and become a better player while experiencing your games as they were meant to be heard.
