Runescape R.I.P

Alright, before free trade and wilderness came back I always wished they would come back. I wished everything would be like it used to. Not I take what I said back. I can't log into a world and peacefully mine, or cut some yews or willows down without being surrounded by a horde of botters. Jagex really messed Runescape up, they don't care about botters anymore or anything anybody does. Every year the game goes downhill. Maybe it's because I play on F2P servers that I am getting this. Every F2P world I log into and try to mine coal, I am surrounded by at least 10 level 3 botters stealing all of my coal.

 

Get mems and the problem is reduced. Start botting and the problem is gone.

 

runescape was good back in 2004 because there were no claw rushers and people would dm in fights. and there were no choatic weapons or korasi or anything overpowerd like that

 

Runescape owned back at 2004, botters everywere same as now we can say.

 

I agree, F2p worlds are terrible for bots.
Don't blame these people, there mostly chinese goldfarmers, who else is stupid enough to bot coal? thats really bad money

 

Agree with this , but especially minning bots , or woodcutting at Draynor Village it's like a colony of botters.

 

I agree that Runescape back in 2004-2005 was awesome.. These days almost everyone bots so I starded botting myself..
Now its more fun to play (well actually not since ur bot is playing.. -.-) but its the only way to play this game I guess..

 

Runescape will be dead in a few years :/ its going downhill from here so why bother

 

The game would be better if jagex did something about bots, i mean, ive botted and i guarantee 98% of the people on sythe have botted before, but honestly we shouldnt be able to do it so easily. Jagex needs to step up their banning and ban botters. I know i bot but honestly ive gotten away with it to many times. Its ridiculous

 

I'd prefre them to keep it like this.

 

Get p2p, problem solved. The amount of bots cut by 50%. But yeah, only fun thing is PKing, I just bot most of the other stuff. Good thing I don't really play on my legit main because I'm sure I'd be pretty pissed too. I'll probably bot all my accounts soon, if you can't beat them, join them.

You may think that creating scripts for bots to run are simple because you only have to spend a small amount of money in order to get one of these bots. Bots have been around since rsc, however people have began to realize that runescape is a good source of IRL money.. So what happens? Bots get mass produced, developers put in multiple hours per week in order to keep their scripts running in good condition in order to make a decent profit off bot selling.

There were still bots back in 2004 and 2005, the majority of players had no clue, plus it was more difficult to create bots with technology advancing every day.

Bots will be the end of this game unless some major change is brought upon the game play making it very difficult for those who script.

As for the OP: your best bet is to mine in a pay to play world and find a uncommon spot where bots do not crowd the area. The only time you will never see a bot at a crowded area is after a system update. That is your best bet for getting the resources you want

 

I agree with Siinep, bots with definitely be the end of Runescape. They really need to do some major changes to stop botting, because at this point in time any one with a double digit IQ can set up a bot, I've heard grade 7's at my school talk about botting their account and I just shake my head, not that I even talk about Runescape at my school, they do.

 

Free worlds are always loaded try geting mems and find a nice world and ull be good but some mems worlds are also crowded soo all i can say is best of luck man.

 

this game won't end soon, just because your growing old of it there are like twenty 12 year olds taking your place

 

i really dont care any more, im just going to bot 12+ hours a day tell maxed combat and enough money for turm. if i get banned, who gives a fuck

 

surprised no one said change the language settings on bottom of homepage log in and since almost all bots are scripted in english they're no bots in other languages f2p and p2p problem solved

 

I'm getting a feeling there is going to be another mass ban coming soon.
