If I link a credit card to my PayPal, will the credit card holder be informed?
and how?

 

Pretty sure no, but if you did a transaction to your paypal via the credit card they would be able to see.

 

Im also quite sure they wont know until you make a purchase.

Depending on a few things they may even block the transaction an contact the person directly before allowing it to proceed. Happened to me when i tried using my credit card in LA.

and here's why:

when you link a credit card to a PayPal account, you have to check the statement for some small amount that PP takes for verification.
then once you verify it, they reimburse the small amount to the card.

 

I thought this was only for bank accounts, I never had to do anything like that with my credit card.

 

I had to do that for my USA PayPal account to add a credit card to it.
was annoying because it took 24hrs to get a statement.

it's also for bank accounts, except with bank accounts they do a small deposit, not a charge.

 

I have a credit card attached to my Paypal and the only time I get a notice from them is when I make a purchase.

 

I was required for Master Card, Visa's don't have to be verified with the $1.95 charge.

 

When I linked my bank account they deposited a small amount into my bank account that I had to verify.

When I linked my credit card they didn't do anything like this. However.. when my paypal got limited they charged a small amount to my credit card and thats when I had to verify the amount.
