MYTHS About Six-Packs and Weight Loss!

    #1 - Spot Fat Removal

Doing Ab-Crunches and such will not just burn your belly fat.
Pushups will not just burn your chest and arm fat.

The burning you experience is from buildup of Lactic Acid which is produced more-so during exercise... This isn't a guide about Lactic Acid so go google it if you wish to learn more.

Your BODY decides where the fat comes from. You cant just do workouts in a certain area to try and remove that spots fat, your body gets a little bit of fat from everywhere to use as energy.

#2 - Fatty foods make you fat

Composition of foods has NOTHING to do with fat loss. UNLESS you're on a Ketogenic diet... which is an ENTIRELY different concept.

Let's start off with the most basic form of foods

    Carbs - 4 calories/gram
    Protein - 4 calories/gram
    Fat - 9 calories/gram

Now, Calories is really what you want to look for if you're JUST looking for weight loss. There are different amounts of different things you want if you're looking to stay healthy, build muscle, and more. The ONLY thing that matters though, is your calorie deficit.

If someone ate 200g of fat and NOTHING else per day, they would have an 1800 calorie intake

Say another person eats 200g of Carbs 200g of Protein and 11g of Fat per day, they would have a 1799 calorie intake

Say they both did no exercise, had no thyroid problems, and had the same Base Metabolic Rate

Ignoring that 1 calorie difference, They'd lose the EXACT same amount of weight in whatever time period they chose. Calorie deficit is the only factor that matters, there's a reason fat has more calories/gram than the other two.

Myth #3 - High and Low Metabolisms

This one is short and sweet.

Unless the person has a thyroid problem, you're not fat because of your 'low metabolism'.
You're fat because of your high calorie intake and/or low activity level.
You are also not skinny because of your 'high metabolism'.
You are skinny because of your higher activity level and/or lower calorie intake.

    Don't say otherwise. It's science.

    Myth #4 - Six Packs

Six packs are not just abdominal muscles that matter. Here's a lil' info.

ANYONE can show their abdominal muscles. It is usually a six pack for most people. 8 packs for a select few. 4 packs for even fewer. Your genetics decide the look of your ab muscles.

To show your six pack, if you have bad genetics you must be 8 percent bodyfat. Average genetics 10 percent body fat. Great genetics 12 percent bodyfat. Anything higher and your abs WILL NOT SHOW.

The next part is abdominal muscles, depending on how large they are that will determine how much it stands out. If you never do any ab exercises you might not even show a 6 pack at 10% bodyfat, you'll just look like a holocaust survivor.

    ~These are all 100% accurate. Don't question me.~
