I think we should start enforcing this rule

Its posted under Runescape General and it seems like every thread asking a question in there has 20 people repeating the exact same thing that was said in the first reply.

 

i agree to this. in fact i have been reporting people for spam for doing this.

the questions is tho would my post now be reported as spam as i have not added any new information to the topic besides saying i agree to it and i report people for doing it?

 

And what makes you think the people doing this aren't getting infracted?

 

Well we wouldn't know but from the sheer amount of threads in that section asking questions just recently answered on top of the fact that many of them are repeat offenders I'd say it's not being enforced as heavily as it ought to be.

 

All you have to do is report the post, a mod will infract the individual's post (assuming it breaks any rules.)

 

The problem is not that it is not being enforced, but that there is a lack of people reporting it. You can't expect all of the mods to view every thread where it is occurring. It is no problem if you just report the post.

 

Report it and a moderator will deal with it accordingly.

As Tmoe said just report it but if its new information that is in conjunction with the original topic and is usefull that should not be infracted. I would hope moderators use common sense though and dont infract users if its a 1st offence as a pm is all that is needed reminding them of this rule.

People just need to report this. Another thing people need to do is report their own thread and request it be closed after it's been answered.
