Ok I need some help pretty badly ASAP with my laptop.

The problem is hard to explain so I will speak to you individually via msn.

The problem is kind of complex and is very strange, it involves re-installing windows (the laptop wont boot my disc) - usually i'd be able to fix it but I'm clueless as to what else to try. I will be willing to pay up to $15 (Would usually pay more but I'm short on cash)

Please only add me on MSN if you have good knowledge with computers.

Make sure you put CD/DVD rom to boot up first, you can change it by going to system BIOS.

Done that, it seems to disregard the change and attempt to boot from the HDD as normal.

[email protected] I can probably fix it for you but the method might be a bit unique.

Your computer won't boot from CD?

Does the drive tries to read the disc when you boot the PC?

Spoke to him on MSN. Concluded the disc was corrupt, tried installing vista and it seems to be working.

    Resolved.

That was my best guess, as if the drive did read the disc, then the disc was corrupt.

But my suggestion is to get rid of Vista, worst OS ever in my opinion.

I only installed vista as it was the only genuine disc I had on hand. I've installed windows 7 now and it's running as smooth as ever.

I am very good with computers etc ;) My suggestion if its not booting from your CD ROM/DVD drive then get a copy of windows on a USB, and boot you computer from a USB, you can change boot options (as in which one boots first, second etc) by starting up your computer and clicking F9, then changing the setting to boot Removable drives first :)
