    What's your IQ?

Kim Ung-Yong (born March 8, 1962) is a Korean former child prodigy. Kim was listed in the Guinness Book of World Records under "Highest IQ"; the book estimated the boy's score at about 210.[1]

Shortly after birth, Kim began to display extraordinary intellectual ability. He began speaking at 4 months, could converse fluently by 6 months, and was able to read Japanese, Korean, German, and English by his second birthday. Furthermore, it took about a month for him to learn a foreign language. After 7 months later he learned concepts of multiplication, he could understand concepts of differential calculus. At the age of four, on November 2, 1967, he solved complicated differential and integral calculus problems on Japanese television. Even in early childhood, he began to write poetry and was an amazing painter.[2]

Kim was a guest student of physics at Hanyang University auditing courses from the age of 4 until he was 7. In 1970, at the age of 8, he was invited to the United States by NASA. He finished his university studies, eventually getting a Ph.D. in physics at Colorado State University. In 1974, during his university studies, he began his research work at NASA and continued this work until his return to Korea in 1978.[3]

Back in Korea, he decided to switch from physics to civil engineering and eventually received a doctorate in that field. He eventually published about 90 papers on hydraulics in scientific journals.[3] As of 2007[update] he also serves as adjunct faculty at Chungbuk National University.

Sorry I didn't know Kim Ung-yong worked in a Bar:mad: /end sarcasm . And regardless of whether you think IQ accurately depicts "smartness" or not it's extremely relative.

    What's your IQ?

I have always related IQ to the ability of seeing logic and patterns. - Never looked at it as a "smartness-scale".

    What's your IQ?

I've never taken an official test. I took a Mensa card test (60 cards) and got every one right, which means they estimated my IQ to be 155+. I've taken a few online tests and consistently scored between 140 and 170. Realistically I think I am 145-155.

    What's your IQ?

I've never actually tested for my personal IQ, I find these website tests non-legitimate.

I have however been told I have a very high EQ through work placement tests.

    I think it's more valuable ;)

    What's your IQ?

If you had access to all the nootropics unavailable to the public, plus all the other methods I described, then you could go from 100 IQ to 160+ without a doubt, and Kim Ung-Yong could reach 220-230+ easily.

Hydrogel may replace stem cells for the repair of brain injury. ~ http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/8233209.stm [This article is 1 1/2 years old. The trials in mice will probably finish within 1-3 years. Humans will soon be able to volunteer for or participate in clinical trials of the treatment]

This would be the solution to saving the life of someone after a serious brain injury such as a stroke, or one causing a coma coma leading to a persistent vegetative state. There is absolutely no reason why we must discontinue life support to these people.

Hydrogel is 99% water, with other [often proprietary] constituents in order to allow and provide the transport of nutrients, growth of cells, and a non-toxic medium for that growth. It's being used now as wound dressing and to manufacture contact lenses but it has the potential to repair any organ, tissue or cellular grouping in the body. It provides a growth medium by triggering the mechanisms by which cells use to reproduce and grow the same rate they do before birth. This is what allows neurons to reproduce, when there are little other circumstances they would be able to without chemical induction of cellular growth and reproduction.

Stem cells are not as effective often times because for some reason these are able to mutate into or reproduce surrounding cancerous cells. The brain has it's own neural stem cells within the subventricular zone and the hippocampus. ~ http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2010/04/100401100957.htm

Does that enlighten you? I hope to bring insight to the public about these important issues.

    What's your IQ?

Those wouldn't affect IQ, they would increase acquirable intelligence. IQ tests are not supposed to test education, only ability.

    What's your IQ?

The changes *are* very measurable on a standardized IQ test, and the difference is measurable through several other means; therefore, they're basically improving your potential ability, from what you're stating. Although, IQ is a variable, not a constant, so how will you know if it's a true measure of someone's ability? If you drink a cup of coffee, your peak of intelligence as risen, whereas if you become inebriated by alcohol, the opposite becomes true. Although temporary, you would see that. This applies to other nootropics/'anti-nootropics' [sedative-hypnotics; depressants.] We should see intelligence as a floor, and as a ceiling -- a range, rather than an end-all, be-all of a person's true aptitude.

Once again, motivation exceeds ability in importance. Those who are not able will become so with enough motivation to complete a task; under reason, of course.

    What's your IQ?

    If 130+ is top 2% and considered genius then;

    A) Sythe users who viewed this thread tend to be very gifted (statistically unlikely)
    B) Sythe users who viewed this thread are lying
    C) The tests Sythe users are taking are bull shit

And I’m inclined to think C. Ten minute online tests are rubbish, they wildly overestimate scores – if you actually had an IQ of 164 you would of realised this for yourself.

Do you really think IQ scores in that range can be determined by asking questions like:

Library is to book as book is to
    A. Page
    B. Copy
    C. Binding
    D. Cover

    (yes it's Page, well done!)

    --
I got 144 on last online test. I think my actual IQ would be 110 max.
