Have you ever broken someone's heart?

If so, how do you feel about it?

I'm talking about putting someone through serious emotional pain.. Not breaking up with someone after dating for 2 weeks. An example is dating someone for several years, and then breaking it off with them for no real reason. That's more along the lines of what I mean by breaking someone's heart.

Personally, I have.. I made a decision which I thought was the best for me, and broke up with someone I deeply loved. This was somewhat out of the blue, especially for her, and she wasn't ready for it. I ended up causing her a lot of pain, which I still haven't forgiven myself for. She's found someone else now, that makes her happy, and that thrills me. Even though I caused her a lot of pain, she's happy now.. And that makes me a little easier for me.

Just curious if you guys have, and how you felt about it. Did you feel bad and torn up on the inside? Were you indifferent about it? Did you feel happy that they were suffering?

 

Not once. I never stuck down with one girl for a more than a couple months. I'm in a two and a half year relationship now, but I don't think I'll be the one doing the breaking up.

 

my longest relationship has been about a year now, so per say i haven't really broken someones heart like you mentioned but im pretty sure i pissed some girls off haha, i'm happy now and i don't think i'll be breaking anyones heart anytime soon.

 

I felt bad, but I didn't really care.. It's not like she broke my hear before..

 

Yeah, on Sunday tbh. I never thought she felt the way she did </3

 

Time heals and you'll soon forget about it. Stop worrying about it, life is too short!
