Hello, my name is Sabian and I am from Alaska. I enjoy working with various operating systems in a variety of fields. Networking, OS framwork, And I love making things "better". I am always trying to share with people what I have learned. Whether it's helping somebody solve a problem they are having, or if it's teaching somebody about how something works. It matters not.

Why I am applying to become a User Educator::
I have contributed to a large supply of other guides and assisted in a few others. I did not feel the need to post here about them.
Overall the reason I would like to become a user educator is to pass on knowledge that I have learned over many many years.
I think I have alot to contribute. I see alot of guides that don't educate at all, they're just a set of instructions. My purpose here would not to be writing an instruction manual, but to expand the understanding of others.
My UE Agreement::
" I 1ce, claim that the guides I have included in my application are completely my own work. They were made using my own knowledge and I have not plagiarized another person's work. I accept that if my guides are found to be plagiarized, even partially, I will be forumbanned from User Education indefinitely."

Nice application, I really do like your guides, I've read all of them and have thought you have done a good job on those. I'd recommend trying to "spiffy up" your application though by adding some colored text, a few images, some titles and possibly adding the center tag (I love the center tag, it makes everything look a lot more professional.)

I think I may center my tags! Most of my guides really don't require pictures and In that case would really bulkthem up a bit. I
also dislike colored text. (white with sythe's blue seems complimenting). Although I'll toy with my next guide and see if I can't find anything that looks nice.

Nice man, I like what you've done with it! And I agree, with computer related topics it is hard to really make a guide "look pretty".

You to! I try my best to make a guide accurate, informative, and helpful. I wish to educate people, teach them how something works. As they say,

If you give a man a fish, you will feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you will feed him for a life time.​

Honestly though I'm not good as good at "artsy fartsy" articles. My strength is in education and writing tutorials, and that's what
I'll be doing with my articles. Educating, not entertaining. (Although I don't want my readers to fall asleep at the wheel on me, that's not what I meant).

Right here I would suggest instead of just giving us the URL, You instead give us a click able link with a description of where the URL leads for example.

The first 2 are what I've done.
Personally I think this looks much more professional and easy on the eye.

To do this simply highlight the text you want to be a hyperlink, then click the icon "Insert Link" (This looks like a globe with an chain below it) Then copy paste your link in and Voila!

 

Obvious user educator here. If he doesn't get this, I'll be completely disappointed in this whole forum.

And to the others:

I personally don't think he really needs to add colors and other boring stuff. He is bringing a bunch more high quality posts to the whole guide section in general. I think you need to recognize that as this guy is basically stepping in a whole new territory.
