Chain bans?

Hey folks,

Used to bot way back in the RSBuddy days and I've been contemplating trying some 07 bots again. I don't think I'd bot my main account, but I've been considering doing it for others.

Does Jagex chain ban accounts? I wouldn't touch my main, but I've read some cases where they'll ban numerous accounts, regardless if one has been botted. Is this only for extreme botting/gold farmers?

 

No, it happens fairly frequently. If you are logged into another account (even if you're not botting it) while another account is banned for botting, it is probable that you will get banned on the legit account, too.

If you are not logged into the legit account at the time the botting account gets banned, though, then you're safe.

 

Jagex doesn't really care anymore about being fair. They will ban your main even if it has never broken a rule.

 

I'm constantly reading that 07 has high ban rates. Is that with 12 hours/day botting? Would I be alright going for maybe 4-8 hours/day (obviously no guarantee)?

Have people been banned for using a simple auto clicker?

It varies. RS3 has higher ban rates than 07, usually. It'll differ from person to person, typically you'll be okay botting 8-12 hours a day without bans.

Auto clickers are like any other macro and are indeed banworthy.

 

Even if it was an auto clicker for alching while I sat and talked in chat?

 

While that will definitely minimize any ban risk, there's still a chance that the program will be detected and result in a ban.

Auto clicking has a relatively low ban rate if babysat, in my opinion.

I didnt do it either, unban pls jagex.

But srs, i didnt get banned on my main. Death botted an account to see how high ban rates are and got it banned in 2 days. Nats after day 1 tho lol.

 

If I were to use my desktop solely for botting and used my laptop for my legit playing, would that still apply? Or is it just any accounts with the same network?

 

It's based on IP. So if you're on the same IP on that desktop and laptop then it wouldn't make a difference, you're still risking that ban.

 

Autoclickers with random time intervals are still pretty safe

 

I bottet 2000+ hours on my former main before getting banned and the same with my pure. Created a new account and suicided and got banned after 3 days. Bot smart, and you'll be safe.

 

If i'm honest, was doing a little mining service, and i got a minor on an account. After that i stopped botting with it and started with other accounts. I did get a major on the other accounts but not the main..

 

OK, if you ever log into a your main account using a botting client, it can and will be banned if you are using it while botting other accounts, other than that any account that hasn't logged into rs on a bot client won't be banned. Btw chainbans are based on your mac address
