Best memories of Runescape!

What are your best memories of Runescape?
Mine would have to be, back when I started, I got my first 100k. I was so proud. Now 100k is pocket change though. :

In like 2002 you would ask a higher level a random question like where is falador or how do I get to kamajin and they would drop what they were doing and take you there an actually help you

2006+ ask the same question and all you get is either fuck off, look at a guide Ect

Also in 2002 I got members when it first came out even tho I was like level 60, watching the jagex mods dual around catherby where I was fishing .. So dam noob

mining coal, for what felt like eternity, to get a rune 2h.

now it takes 20 minutes.

and yes my first 10 minutes into playing, i asked a random high level (40) to take me to falador to meet the girl from my school, who i liked. She gave me full iron. I could hardly sleep for the next few weeks as i was just so damn in love with the game.

remember it took me like 1 day to make 10k XD pretty much if u had 10m+ ur considered rich back in the day, now its pretty much blah...

 

i remember buying Halloween masks the day after halloween for 15k each

then i remember dropping my masks and santa hats when i quit this game because all my friends were

I remember, 03' I asked a person how to make some cash, he gave me good detil and gave me like 50k.

Now it's like "How do I make cash" "Gtfo noob"

 

I couldn't nail it down to one, but I have very fond memories of 2003-2004 merching around varrock castle when it was the old tradecentre.

 

i owe my typing skills to runescape.

 

Blazin, I do too, and well forums. I am currently 13, my older brothers played this game I learned how to type 42 WPM at the age of 7 and a half.

 

I remember mining coal and thinking it was so cool to smith steel items, then i'd wear my armour and brag about how i made it also i remember trading cowhides to a guy for rune armour as a little business, best days of my rs career 06

 

Haha, before I never did smithing, I just bought all my armor. I do remember bragging about being 50 cb though. Everyone was like WOAH in Lummy. xD

picking up a random 1.5m off the ground when i was lvl 27

 

when i bought my first account. i bought it in runescape for 100k. the acc had 70 mining i was like "omg i can mine adamant:O:O" Good days

 

On my first day of playing in 02, someone was standing near where new accounts spawned in lumby and gave me a wooden shield and a sword, i don't even know if they still exist anymore, but i still think it was very kind of him to do that for new players, because i probably wouldn't have carried on playing if it hadn't of been for being given a few items instead of standing there just punching a cow so i could collect it's precious precious meat and hide (i digress...)

Another memory would be october 31st 2003, when people were talking about how awesome and rare scythes were, when everywhere you looked they were scattered across the ground like the local scythe making factory had just been nuked.
Then November 1st 2003 when all the Americans and Australians were wiping their tears away frantically while being morbidly unhappy because the scythe drops had been at "unfriendly" times for them, thus even more were dropped and the paragraph above was repeated.

Then when the RS2 beta was out I got stuck in a wall in Varrock and a J Mod had to come to get me out, we then spent about 10 minutes trying to replicate the error, before we figured it was a one off occurence, he then left and i tried by myself a little bit and somehow was once again lodged firmly in a wall and he had to come back and get me and then said "just leave it alone for now".
-1 bugfixing.

The next one would be the actual release of RS2, when it was actually a big decision to choose between whether you wanted to move to RS2 or stick to playing the game that looked like it had been drawn with crayon by a slightly mentally retarded toddler. Funny to think back on it now, but back then I actually regretted changing game for a while.

Next would be the implementation of Runecrafting, and the days of IRL time i spent running essence for money for the big boys with either a fuckton of cash or 91 runecrafting. I was making about 300k an hour and firmly believed that if I continued doing this for about... the rest of my life... one day I could be strutting around like a badass with an awesome dragon med helm.

Then I quit for a bit, and when I came back (I think) there was now a construction skill. Then the shit hit the ceiling when some guy kicked everyone out of his house unknowingally releasing a serial killer into the world and everyone thought it was amazing to run around screaming his name and asking to be killed, while the best player mods could do was say "bank your stuff". I think there was a J Mod there too, but I wasn't actually there I just heard about it on the forums from people describing it as if it was the final battle scene from 300 with added awesome, whereas after watching it on Youtube I realised it was about as awesome as coming home and finding your cat dead on the doorstep.

I can't be arsed typing anymore so there you go.

Merching my 13k to 50k in ONE night. Felt like a god damn champion.

 

Finding a beer glass outside the chicken pen in lumby back in like 2004. was so epic!
