    Initiate or Tank?

Feeling quite conflicted about this. Looking for an opinion from Sythe users on whether it would be better as a tank, or as an initiate pure. Note: Defence and Prayer are both purely quested. Some things you should take into account:
    • Looking to stake/PK in the wilderness depending on mood
    • Money or time is not an issue.
    • I feel this urge to kill some bosses (that's what you get for getting too addicted to PvMing on your main)

It's fucked already tbh then if you are wanting it to stake.

My friend has a tank, 75 def, 82 range, 1 prayer. He's still working on it of course, but he goes into wildy wearing dragon fire shield, armydell chest or however it's spelt. And heaps of other good shit, he doesn't skull, but he still risks 400k. He gets good ko's even with 1 prayer, he has 3 ways to ko, dark bow, c bow, and dfs. He carries all them with him when pk'ing. He can even last generally 2 - 3 fights before he even has to bank.

My point being, he can pk with 1 prayer, and still be an ownage tank/box staker. So, in my opinion, if you are looking to stake and pk, that account is already fucked.

    Initiate or Tank?

Initiate Pure's own man, get 25 defence for infinity.

Secondly - purchase a bot something like perfs autofighter

    then get something like 70 99 25

Also start questing if you haven't already.

    Initiate or Tank?

Point taken. But if I remember correctly, most tanks use Prayer (more commonly, Ancient Curses), so isn't that a huge disadvantage for him?

Meh, like the number 20 more. :) Might go zerker once I get bored of maxing, which is pretty far away. Thanks for your input.

    Initiate or Tank?

If you plan to get def up later to make it into a zerker, then I would suggest the initiate. Otherwise I would go tank, reason being: initiates are pointless...theres no difference in 1 def and 20 def accs...

I'd say tank. Iniates get owned by zerks.

    Initiate or Tank?

Tank's are better nowadays. Initiate pures were never really that good to begin with, and now most of them are competing with turmoil zerkers and range tanks and get completely blasted out of the water.

I have a maxed tank myself and have made over 2.2b staking and pked about 180m since FT came out

    Initiate or Tank?

Well, it appears the vote for tank far outweighs the ones for initiate. I've made my decision now: Tank.

    Thanks for the help, everyone.
