Need Advice for a Mage staker

current stats are:

94 mage
89 hp
1 def
99 dung (CStaff + Stream)

i Shadow barrage then switch to blood

i cant seem to win for shit
am i doing something wrong?

You need high def

 

You don't need high def tbh. Whenever I mage stake I do it with movement on and Ice Barrage and Do DOT casting till they die. I win 7/10.

r0ck3r means smoke barrage i thiink, i would do movement on then just barrage/then stand under them and dont let em hit you, just keep spamming barrage/smoke barrage and blood if needed, takes practice, but if you can get it, then you'll be pro. or just do obstacles and try to get the first freeze, and dont let them hit you at all, barrage and thenn run away and cast from a distance.

 

dot casting is when you stand on top of them.

 

Try dot casting.. I do it alot and it actually works if you get the first hit.

 

do ice barrage all the way so they dont hit you and put movement on with obstacles

 

A lot of people do these stakes different ways. If your doing mage boxing then movement will be turned off and you start off with a shadow barrage to lower their attack. (Some players say this is useless but it seems to work for me.) Then you could try a smoke barrage to poison them or just go to blood and use that till your at the end. If they are pretty much red barred then do blood blitz because it's faster then barrage but weaker.

If your doing a full game fight with gear and movement then just follow with what the other members suggested with dot casting.

 

Not very many ppl with stake with wep and neck on.

 

Oh btw, If they forget to turn specials off with a weapon on, use enhanced excalibur. It helps.

Its complete luck... I'd say if your 99 mage 99 hp 1 def/1pray/1 sum you will have around a 30% chance of beating a maxed mage boxer. The key is to finding someone with like 95 mage and 95 hp with 99 def (not quite maxed) and get them to 2x you. You'd probably win 40-45% of those fights, which while your being 2x'd is really good.

Don't do it with movement on unless u know how to do the freeze and then walk on their dot, cast spell, walk on their dot, cast spell. Because other people know how to do that and will own you..

When I MB (99 mage 95 hp 45 def) I probably win about 40%. Shadow Barrage once, if it hits move onto blood barrage (unless they didn't hit, in which case do shadow barrage) If blood barrage isn't hitting try a couple of blood blitzs. If you get up by like 1/3+ hp just shadow barrage them as shadow barrage is pretty accurate and the only way for them to win would be to hit a couple of 200+'s with blood barrage (which isn't gonna happen most likely).

Mage boxing is hard though, its probably the most unpredicatable of all staking, which is to your advantage if someone is 2x/3xing you.

BTW: Mage lvl is approx 70% of ur def, def lvl is approx 30% of your def against mage.
