Difference between a crush and love?

Wondering what your take is?

 

One is a crush, the other is never true.

 

The reason I'm asking is because some people say it's a huge crush, and some may call the same thing love.

 

A crush would be you wanting that thing right now and in the eyes of the beholder it's beauty while true love is compassion, knowing to understand and not be so "emotional" about it.

 

I tend to think of a 'crush' as a form of infatuation.

For example, in middle school I used to have a 'crush' on who I thought was the prettiest girl in class. I never talked to her, but once I did I knew that I'd never love her or vice versa. Also, my sister had this big crush on Justin Bieber but grew out of it shortly after.

 

A little crush is just temporary feelings other than mutual for another person. If you truly love them, then it's not temporary

 

Crushes aren't temporary most of the time, at least not for me.

 

Well, define "temporary" in your case. If it's a longer lasting feeling, then most likely it's more than a crush, but less than love.

 

I see a crush as lust. Want.

Love is this deep connection. That feeling you get. You just know.

 

a crush comes before love in all relationships. you have interest in them because you are crushing on them
you cannot claim that you love them because you dont really know them yet.

love is what grows after people have been together for a significant period of time and have a mutual understanding of it.


so i guess i would have to say:

a crush is an infatuation with superficial aspects of another.
love is a deep understanding and bond between two people.

 

A crush gives you the feeling of love, however, it's only temporary.

 

The difference, to me, between a "crush" and "love" (when referring to your other thread... this is what I'm talking about), a "crush" is a result of your hormonal imbalances and your changes in thought toward the opposite sex. You get attached to the way someone is or looks and are consumed with thoughts of them and obsessed. This is a crush.

 

If you have to ask if it's a crush or love...then it's a crush.
Love would be unmistakable.

 

To me,

"Crush" is when you feel in love but for a short duration of time and "Love" is when you know and you're sure of it that you wanna be with that person for the rest of your life.

 

For me, a crush is more a stage of pure lust.

 

A crush is nothing more then a physical attraction to someone. I also don't like the word crush. Crushing on someone is basically lusting for someone.

 

When do you know that it's love and not a crush anymore. You can crush on someone and then come to love them even if you don't talk to them much.

 

I think it's the first stage to love. You don't love someone before crushing on them first. The crush drives you until you reach the love zone.
