what in the fuck happened? it's supposed to be transparent.

 

GIF's don't work well with transparency. Take the background color of what site you want to use it on and set it under everything.

 

can i do that with this site? if so, how do i get the color?

 

Your drop shadow is throwing off the transparency. It need something to show the shadow on so it shows up white, and as w00t said, transparencies don't work well with gifs, try to just use the bg color or sythe. Hope this helps

 

Screenshoot any page that has the space which you're going to be filling with your signature, put it into photoshop, and use the eyedropper tool to get the exact color

Take that color and fill the background with it, and it should blend flawlessly (unless someone is using a different skin, which would have a different background color)

As mentioned before, GIF is terrible with advanced transparency. It can't gradient from 100%-0% opacity, like you were trying to do with the drop shadows.
