What if?..

What if in runescape you never trade items. You could only give someone items. So in order for a standard trade to take place one person would give the item then rely on the other person to give them the mills (kind of like with sythe trades)

What do you think runescape would be like if that was the system that was implemented from the beginning?

Really? I think if this was implemented from the very beginning when the community was small it would be fine. Players back then were nice and would help new players.
In old games such as Diablo when you had to drop items to trade there was very little scamming in that game either

 

Games changed a lot since the old days my man, nowadays people would take shut and run without a care in the world.

 

Trades would be done in multiple smaller trades. For example someone wanting 10k lobbies would do trades of 1k lobbies at a time. Items like phats would very very rarely be traded due to risk of scam.

 

So many assholes these days tho.. so u would probs be scammed most of the time

OT: Yeah there would probably be even more scammers than there already are.

 

People are different now than they were before, so sadly this wouldn't have worked today

OT: I think it would be awful tbh, although I reckon it would be good if you had to get your own items. For example, you had to fish and cook your own lobbies and craft your own runes instead of just buying them.

 

I agree with what your saying about less scammers because of the way the game and community would have worked from the beginning.
