Scam or no?

So some random 81lvl (I'm 97) dude with party hat and 1000m came to me and showed his 1b. And he said "Do you want 60m?". I said "Ofc" he asked me to follow. I did. Then he said that he is making pk video, and needs me to go with my h'mask in to wild and let be killed (he told that we will photoshop my death that it will look like I really lose my rare). I said that it is risky to me, he answered "Take only mask, nothing else, and don'e get skulled". So the point is, How can he scam me? In f2p?
Why he can be scaming me:
1) Can't give reward in advance when having loads of cash.
2) One dude with 1m reward before this one was talking the same lure sh1t.
3) Why he can't give any rare to a friend and ask him?
Why he may be legit:
1) He rich as hell.
2) It seems that lose my rare with nonskulled, emty inventory and protect item would be hard?
So my big question is: its a scam? If so, how can he stole my rare?

 

I wouldnt do it if he wasnt willing to pay upfront. You never know, he could find a way to attack you making your char attk him skulling you then looting your stuff. People have ways of skulling you somehow. so just in case if you are going to bring food

You can't get banned/punished for luring, that's why he's willing to risk his wealth.

 

I know what is luring, but what I don't understand is how can he steal it? I always click on mini map when going and I'm not stupid enough to pick coins from the ground..

 

It's a lure - he'll drop something with greater high alch value than your mask which will cause you to drop the mask on death even if you're not skulled.

Edit: He may also try to give you a little weapon, for example a chinchompa and ask you to use it on him, but his friend will be standing nearby and it will cause you to skull.

Tip: Do NOT go to the wilderness with your rares, ever.

Well I'm F2P so no chinchompas. And if I take (but I won't) item with greater alch value, Still I would have 3 items to keep

 

If you know what you're doing, you can't lose it...

Just bring that item and nothing else; make sure you can protect-item in the wildy on whatever world you were on incase you did skull ... and don't let him give you items/food that would protect over your rare.

Simple enough, go for it and see what happens. Just don't be stupid and accept lobs or anything else he tries to trade you. You could also bring explorer ring, which I don't think would protect over a rare -- for an easy cabbage-patch escape.

 

My advice to you...
Bring tele grab runes and teleport runes
Grab the coins and tele out
