So, I was on the arbibots chat talking to some people when Arbiter logs in. He came in and started talking about how the Arbibot client was safe but it was being discontinued. This is clearly poor business as this is a lie. After being banned from the chatbox for proving Arbiter a liar this is what I sent him:
AND here is some more proof that he's lying.
Arbiter claimed that Arbibot was not updated to the infected rsbot code (2.22+) when infact it actually was. All versions of rsbot prior to 2.22 lack 2 pieces of code (among others) that are malicious. These pieces of code were added by Liang aka Quatars of Powerbot.
On the left here we have a decompiled version of arbibots and on the right is the svn of rsbot v2.24. The circled classes are the infected pieces of code.
Also we can see here: http://code.google.com/p/rsbot-client/source/list (RSBOT SVN)
That the last 3 updates (2.22+ aka the infected updates) were updated by Liang aka Quatars...is that even how you spell his name?
The infected pieces of code are these:
RandomAccessFile.class:
http://code.google.com/p/rsbot-client/source/browse/trunk/src/org/rsbot/client/RandomAccessFile.java?spec=svn67&r=67
And UIDData.class:
http://code.google.com/p/rsbot-client/source/browse/trunk/src/org/rsbot/util/UIDData.java?spec=svn67&r=67
As of now it is unsafe to use either POWERBOT OR ARBIBOT! According to Arbiter (for what his word is worth...) it is safe to use RSbuddy.
It is definitely safe to use any nexus bot.
I understand that this is a business and the fact that malicious code in your client would hurt it. I also know a significant amount about running a business. Coming out and telling your customers that you were a victim in this attack would help you.
I decompiled you client. Here are the facts:
2.22 was the first rsbot version to have the RandomAccessFile.class and UIData.class in them. This is an easily proven fact. These also happen to be the malicious pieces of code in rsbot. This is a fact.
You claim that arbibots didn't use this updated version of rsbot. If so tell me how RandomAccessFile.class and UIData.class got into your client. If you so heavily modify arbibots as you say you do then you knew about this all along. If you didn't know then you're a victim just like the rest of us.
Now I understand why you had me banned from the chat as I may have been seen as a disturbance, but this is no excuse to ignore the facts. I wont tell anybody about what I know as long as I get a reasonable response. I know for a fact Arbibots(rsbuddy now) is the best bot out there as of now and it would pain me greatly to hear you denying such obviously proven facts like this. Such an easily proven thing as this could easily come back to bite you if somebody else were to decompile the script.
