    Why do people buy Junk?

I am sorry if this is in wrong topic, but before moving it can anyone please tell me why people buy junk in here?

What I am thinking is : They take junk in game and give gp for it AND pay IRL cash for the junk.

    Wtf? o.0

    You have it all wrong.

    Say there is 2 players

    Player A: Has 5m GP
    Player B: Has 5m Junk and $2.50

Player B sends Player A $0.50 per mill of junk. Player A trades Player B and exchanges his GP for Player B's Junk.

In the end this is how it looks.

    Player A: Has 5m Junk and $2.50
    Player B: Has 5m gp

    This ^

Also, some people know others who buy junk and may buy junk for .75, and sell back the junk for .50
