Curious about Infernal Cape bans

Have there been any notable bans since Nov 2018? Source: Old School RuneScape on Twitter

I'm also curious whether if you've ever been banned for an Infernal cape service. Were you perhaps caught in the large Nov 2018 ban wave?
If yes, was it via VPN, Proxy, or Teamviewer/Splashtop/GoToMyPC?

I haven't really been able to find any data on users actually getting caught/banned using Teamviewer (or equivalent solutions like Splashtop, etc.). The only accounts of this happening is people saying a friend of a friend or a clan mate got banned which obviously makes the data more unreliable.

I'm just wondering if any of you have actually been banned after getting a remote session Infernal Cape.
Not interested in secondhand accounts.

 

Incorrect Infernal Removal : 2007scape - Looks like there might have been a wave today. Not much to go from though.

 

Cheers for this, am aware of a seller offering purely VPN capes (which from what I understand and have been told by other capers is asking for a ban) cheap. Not going to name names as that is rude and unprofessional, but if what I've been lead to believe it could be part of why some get banned.

 

The only data I've been able to find of users actually claiming to get banned (not second hand accounts) have been of purchases of the cheaper alternatives for the Inferno service. Alternatives such as VPN, Proxy, or nothing (lol).

 

Oh god, "if it looks too good to be true, then it probably is" comes to mind.
