Item switching scam!!!

Is item switching scam bannable??like 1000k to 10004gp,Is it bannable to use this method??

99.999% sure you're not unless you scam a mod or the person you scam takes a vid of the trade, emails it to Jagex. But Jagex is too lazy to even look at the vid in the first place so no.

Erm if anyone is stupid enough to ignore all the alerts and the change in the money amount color/abbreviations then they really deserve it. I think this was answered in the Q&A pretty clearly.

 

This method is not going to work considering when you change the price theres that exclamation blinking hardout

Yeah. I do however believe Jagex keeps a log of trades of some fashion, just really made it hard to scam or be scammed.

 

I guess youfrogot when u switch an item they will give a warning......

 

yea its very hard to scam~~you can see that you been surrounded every direction,scam was something u got to add to ur collection*---fire with fire

 

Added ontop of the huge exclamation mark that will show when you switch, they'll also be able to see the price checker at the bottom of the trade window.

You'll most likely have ZERO luck trying to scam like this. I suggest you stay away from scamming all together, it's something frowned upon the community.

 

Your bestvbet is to show u have the money then close the window and put less in. Eg. Put 100m close window and put 10m

 

Whoever falls for it must be retarded.

Of cource it is bannable, The change of the item will be high lighted so nobody would really fall for the scam.
