new way of healing?

hello guys, i recently started playing rs ago, after a couple of years break. i quit some time befoure wildy was removed, and started about 2 weeks ago. but one thing ive noticed is the use of healing when it comes to pk. i remember when i used to pk back in the days, it was sharks. now i see people running around with brews and all kinds of shit

would anyone mind giving me an update, + maby a little guide? thanks.

 

Shark Brew

Basicslly you click a shark then really fast click the brew and it does it all in one motion.
Be sure to use a Regular/Super restore potion afterwards though and re-pot.

Also there are other combo eating foods like summer pies, chocolate bombs + rocktails.

 

so i will receive hp from both the shark and the brew?

 

Saradomin brew is very good, but it's not good for fighting.
It's only good for tanking it out.

Rocktail is the food that everyone uses now.

Saradomin brew will harm you combat stats (It does boost up defense though)
So use a Super Restore Potion(sip) once you take a sara brew. And you'll have to re-pot your atk/str.

 

Basically, use rocktails like you used to use sharks. If your afraid of getting rushed/want to be able to heal 400ish LP in one hit, bring a couple of saradomin brews, and a couple of super restores.

Shark/Rocktail ---> sip of brew ---> sip of Super Restore (sara brew will make it so your attack/str/mage/range stats go down.

First of all, theres your average fish (anything from shrimps to sharks) these will all heal you a specific amount, no more and no less. These will all stop giving you hp once you reach your hp level.

Then there's rocktails. These are a fish that will heal you but you can heal up to 10hp OVER your hp level. (E.G. If it heals 23 hp and your hp level is 70 but you currently have 60 hp, it will heal you to 80 hp.) Most people will use rocktails in pvp as they provide more hp for your money.

There are also Saradomin brews. saradomin brew temporarily raises your life points by 15% (it is one of few ways to raise your Life points above the normal maximum. This effect does stack with Rocktail) and your Defence by 25% (better than a super defence potion if your Defence level is higher than 50). However, it also temporarily lowers your Strength, Attack, Magic and Ranged by 10%. A 4-dose Saradomin Brew can heal 640 LP (160 LP per dose) in total. so It is recommended to also use regular restore, super restore, or overload potions to counteract the negative effect that the brew has on Strength, Magic and Range.

There is also a fairly new way of healing called "Soul Split"
<--- Players will have an overhead icon like so.
Soul Split is a curse in the Ancient Curses prayer book which requires level 92 Prayer to use. If this curse is active when a player is in combat, the opponent will lose 1 Prayer point and the player will gain 20% of the damage done in life points against monsters or players. This curse drain effect isn't affected by the victim's protection prayers. For example, hitting a 200 on a monster results in gaining 40 life points.
