Dissamble Slayer helmet

So recently I finally gotten my Kq slayer helmet but I cant imbued it for some reason so some people told me you need to dissamble the slayer helmet to imbued it. Well I have heard from people you will lose the head when you dissamble the slayer helmet. And from some other people that you will keep the head. So my question is when you dissamble the slayer helmet will you lose the head or will you keep it and it goes to your inventory?

 

According to the wiki, you will not lose the KQ head. I also just checked with my black slayer helm and kept the KBD heads so you should be fine.
