    A Guide To Firemaking

Well, i am currently going for 99 firemaking myself, and decided to make a guide for you all.

    What I Will Cover:

    Logs to Use
    Maples vs Willows
    Top 5 spots to firemake
    Bow vs Tinderbox
The BEST spot to firemake + method
    Recommended Items to wear
Some Extra tips for 99 firemaking =P

    How To Firemake:

Click on a tinderbox, then simply click on a log =]

    Logs to Use:

    1-15 = Regular Logs...61 logs

    15-30 = Oak Logs...183 Oak Logs

    30-45 (99) = Willow Logs...535 Willow Logs to 45, 144,679 Willow Logs to 99

    45-99 = Maple Logs...96,096 Maple Logs to 99

    Maples VS Willows

    Maples = 135xp
    Willows = 90xp

Willows = 18gp, instant buy for low
Maples = 35gp, instant buy for low

    30-99 with Willows = 144,679
    45-99 with Maples = 96,096

    Cost with Willows = 2,604,222
    Cost with Maples = 3,363,360

    Conclusions:

Maples will always come out to be the greater log to firemake, and the extra 1M to 99 can shave almost two weeks to 99.

Willows are okay, at best, for short term firemaking and you are short on cash.
Maples are great for long term, and always will be =]

    Top 5 spots to firemake:

    1. Grand Exchange, with method that i will teach later.
    2.Falador East Bank
3.Fist Of Guthix lobby - Great for group firemaking.
    4.Duel Arena
5.Edgeville - Great for group firemaking also.

    Bow VS Tinderbox:

    Tinderbox > Bow

    Faster, easier, better.

    The TOP spot to firemake:

    The Grand Exchange.
Using the GE method and perfecting it will result in over 160k xp per hour with maples, compared to the average 120k.

    The Method itself:

Start near the east bankers. Go one step south from the south-east banker, and take one step east. Put run on. Light a log. As soon as you start walking west, run one step in front of the fire. Quickly light again. Repeat.

    Reccomended items to wear:

If you are doing the GE method, wear lighter clothing, like bomber, robes, boots of lightness, spotted/spottier cape, etc.

If you are NOT doing the GE method, wear whatever you want basically, run energy will not be an issue.

Some extra tips for 99 Firemaking =P

Switch places while you firemake, a good scenery change helps alot.
Firemake with a friend or two, race each other, talk, friends always help
Listen to some music *cough* Led Zeppelin *cough*

    And There You Go !

Have fun with 99 firemaking, it is very, very boring.
