@meedr well that should be why there rejoicing and the fact gold prices will drop. Its always been easy to get kills setting dusnt matter but now were gna get the loot we deserve

For the gold prices droping, wouldnt they raise? The gold prices were insane when Pking/staking/free trade was around, people went nuts spending money on runescape.

 

More supply than demand. Rs wealth has changed so much since then due to the grand exchange.

I do agree that the mechanics will be the same and I will be honest, I didn't read much of this thread. I would just like to mention one point, and sorry if it has been mentioned, but the good ole claw rushers will be far less effective at getting any sort of drop. This reminds me of when Granite Mauls were released (Pretty OG), players were rushing with them like crazy, but the great equalizer is out there, its this prayer called Smite. The best way to stop them is to barrage and have a friend tb or vise versa, then go to work farcasting them. A lot of these newer builds are going to have a hard time adjusting I think. Although I do not believe they are going to be completely lost with it. Any thoughts on that?

no no no you misunderstood what I said.
It's not going to make it easier to kill people.. Im saying they're easy to kill, it just sucks when I kill someone with 25M risked and I get a 200k drop.

With the old-new wildy back I'll actually get their bank when they die

 

I have just a small comment to make not sure if been refered or not but w/e:

In New (Old) Wildy, if it happens to become true again, only people who deserve and risk will get rich from it.
No more noobs getting 10m for 150k kills and/or risk.

 

What the hell are you talking about? I read OPs post and didn't see anything about new kids being easier to kill. He only said they're going to bitch about loot being different.. so again.. what the hell are you talking about?

 

The reason it will be harder for newer players.

1. They are not used to wilderness on EVERY WORLD. A lot of people make their money killing green dragons. They'll be PK'd constantly. (They were never used to that)

2. They are also not used to smite. They have never had to use protect item before. They've never been in a situation where when their prayer goes down to 0 it means losing your best item.

3. No one really used smite during the "dark ages" of PVP. 08 update +
they haven't had to deal with smite on a daily basis. Now you have soul split that is even worse.

4. There are no targets.

5. There wont be anyone to PJ for you, or help you with your kills in edgeville.

6. A lot of GOOD pkers will be coming back if this update happens.
They could work magic with a mage short and mystic. It'll be a wonder what they can do with the relatively new overpowered stuff.


7. Luring. No 08+ players know how to spot one properly. You will and I repeat you WILL be falling for all of the old tricks. Ever see a team of level 3's with air strike rush your skiller? No you haven't.


It's mainly point 7.
You do not know all of the luring tricks. There is some devious shit.
Like I know that one kid punkerpunk13 thinks he is smart when he spelled "You're", "Your" but these lures look really safe, etc.

8. You're not used to being stalked.
If you are wearing anything like 5m+ there will be a good 5+ people watching every single move you make.

9. You're not used to looters. You'll see what I mean when 10 level 3's pile on top of your drop while you're trying to loot and not die from one of the 5+ people who were just watching you.
