    Security Guard Random Event - A possible Reference?
    So, I was just training range and getting cowhides when suddenly I had the Security Guard random event...

    You guys know the Security Guard, right?

    So, he just jumps at you and shouts "Stop right there, -player name-!"

    I was wondering...maybe that is a reference to The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion "Stop right there, Criminal Scum!"...


    What do you guys think? Possible? No way? Maybe? Give me your thoughts!

    No, it is just a coincidence. The security guard random was released only a few months after oblivion was released.

    Security Guard Random Event - A possible Reference?
    Its not too unusual for a guard to say "Stop right there!" or similar phrases. I can see why you'd think that but I doubt its an intentional reference or anything.

    Nothing special, really. I just had TES in mind at the time. But I suppose you people are right, "Stop right there!" is pretty much a common word that is used by guards and officers really often.
