Need help buying/build a PC? Here is a list of helpful resources.

I've noticed a number of threads all asking similar questions along the lines of "What do I need to play X?" or 'What PC should I buy with X amount of money?". To help out some of you less knowledgeable buyers/builders, I have compiled a list of some very useful resources below:

    Logical Increments (http://www.logicalincrements.com/)

This site is your friend! There's no point buying a £300 graphics card if you're only going to splash out on a low quality £30 motherboard. Using Logical Increments, you can find appropriate component choices to match your budget/specifications.

    Tom's Hardware (http://www.tomshardware.com/)

One of the best sites for tech reviews and discussion, this site has hundreds of useful articles and pieces on information on components, peripherals and more. Use this site to compare different components and to check out new releases. Their community forum can also be very helpful when it comes to tech support.

    PC Part Picker (http://pcpartpicker.com/)

By far one of the most useful tools when building/choosing a PC. Using this site you can build a test specification, compare and review components, check prices and publish your finished build for others to review. This site is excellent for finding great deals on components, checking compatibility and fine tuning your build's budget.

    /r/buildapc (http://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc)

This entire subreddit is dedicated to building and comparing different builds and their specifications. You can get some great feedback and reccomendations on your build here, as well as being able to browse other people's builds too. Tip: you can publish your finished build from PC Part Picker directly into a /r/buildapc post for others to review.

I would like to continue adding to and improving this list so if you have any suggestions regarding other resources that could be added, please post a reply or PM me.
