Member list

I'm not sure if its just me or also others but when I try to use the member list search it comes up with "Memberlist search disabled due to abuse".

I don't ever remember abusing this let alone knowing how to abuse it? I'm thinking this is just meaning that others have abused it?..

 

^^^ Troll much?.. I get the same message when I try to search a member. I'm not sure how it could be abused? If someone knows please, do share ;p

I always assumed it just meant it was busy, and as such you'd have to wait a minute. "Abuse" could be seen as overloading the search engine... whether intentional or not

 

True, but this isn't the first day I've seen it like this. A while back it worked :X

 

It's disabled for a legitimate reason, but I'm not prepared to discuss it.

 

Ohh, okay. Thats exactly what I needed to hear. I figured it was something along those lines.. Maybe remove it if its not used :X .. Or maybe mods have access to it and we do not.

 

Its been down a while, all I know is its not going to be up for a good time.

 

Still, it would be nice to let the users know why they can't.

 

It has been disabled due to abuse, they not through overloading.

It's unlikely to be put back into use, you can just use a google search for most of what you'd need it for.

Don't remove it, then we won't be able to see who has the most post count

 

Yea it has been removed, if you look thru the accounts there has been thousands of fake accounts been made =\ Hopefully it will be fixed soon

you can just search for members on the normal search button
