Guide to getting a .gif (Donators and staff).

Hey people, this is my sixth guide so far, and it is about how to change your avatar size for a gif. Recently people who donated could have their avatar size from 80x80 to 150X100 (Width by Height) as an added donator perk. People who have donated cannot custom change it, they need to ask a global or admin to change it for them.


Resizing a .Gif

First find .GIF, you can find many from different websites such as www.gifmania.co.uk.

Right click, and save.


If it is a .gif make sure the .gif option is on and save it to your desktop so you can access it quicker.



Go to http://www.smiliegenerator.us/gifresize/index.php

Click browse, and select your the saved image (Should be in desktop). As you can see the dimensions are 170x144, what are too big for donators. So, to avoid an infraction we are cutting it down to a maximum of 150x100. Click open when you have found your image.



Change the required dimensions, for donators the maximum is 150 width, 100 height. Leave scaling factor, protect image and effects. Then click Send.



You can now see the difference and the bottom gif is the new resized one. Click on the bottom one.



left click once to save.


It should save as some random number.


Rename it to something suitable.



Then go to http://www.tinypic.com/

Click browse, and find your .gif, when found click open, and then click upload and wait. (Also make sure it's image not video, since a .gif is still an image).



Copy the IMG code.



Now, since you cannot upload it directly yourselves, you must PM a global with the image. Go to the sythe.org homepage and scroll down to the bottom. You can see globals as they are dark red.



Click on the global, and send a private message, and be polite, since they are wasting their time on helping you. Copy and paste the IMG code from earlier from tinypic. Click send, and you should receive your new avatar very soon.
