Maintaining a healthy lifestyle through eating!

    Healthy means multiple things

    Code:
     healthy [hel-thee]
    –adjective, health_i_er, health_i_est.
    1.	possessing or enjoying good health or a sound and vigorous mentality: a healthy body; a healthy mind.
    2.	pertaining to or characteristic of good health, or a sound and vigorous mind: a healthy appearance; healthy attitudes.

What healthy means to me is

    Code:
Its good to be in shape, but its even better to be happy.

For me the most important things when eating is to consider

    (1) How healthy is what I am eating
    (2) Does it taste good
    (3) Is it worth eating

For example, if you are eating a succulent yet fatty piece of Fried Chicken. Does your temporary enjoyment balance out the increased risk of Heart Failure and Obesity?

Instead of ordering a burger get a salad or chicken. Instead of going to KFC go to a local cafe or Whole Foods.

If certain restaurants/foods are a trigger for unhealthy eating habits i.e. Wendys or Bacon
    JUST DON’T EAT IT/THERE!

If you are eating when you are no longer hungry or enjoy it, that’s when you have a problem. Binge eating also affects many people in the World. If you are messing with your intake of food, then your body will respond accordingly.

Try to stick to this the best you can. Many people adapt a very strict diet so they can be “Healthy”. But if you don’t enjoy your diet/food lifestyle then you will have trouble sticking to it.
This also applies to weight lifting. If your routine is way too hard and not enjoyable it will become a chore to work out.

For many people a problem is white flour. White flour is incredibly processed and empty in nutrition. For many people white flour causes them to balloon. The answer to this is to eat whole grain bread. Whole grain bread is much healthier and has more nutrients.

The answer that works best for me is to prepare my own food. I can regulate the ingredients (all organic) that go into my food. I can use low fat versions of ingredients and make sure no preservatives are used. Being a proficient chef is also a great skill in a relationship.

For me I find it hard to work out unless I have it planed. So every week, monday, thursday, and sunday I plan to myself to work out. That way I can't flake out on myself and watch tv. Also having something to motivate you also works. Like losing 5 pounds for a weight class in wrestling. Maybe to look good for the summer. It doesn't matter.

Look at this guide below, it shows how to make scrambled eggs! Delicious and healthy. Veggies can be added in easily.

Hope this helped! Please give me some constructive critisicm.

Guide looks decent, but is way too basic. Two paragraphs of text and a pic or two doesnt really fulfill the purpose of describing/advising how to eat healthy.

About the "Instead of going to KFC go to Subway." bit: This is actually true, it all depends on what you eat at Subway. I admit, the majority of KFC's produce compared to Subway's is less healthy, however going to Subway isn't "healthy".
