    ----------------------------------------------

If you have read my first guide "How to bring renders into signatures [Basic]," this guide will give you even more understanding on how to edit more advanced images with multi-colour backgrounds. With this guide you will expand your knowledge and understanding of Photoshop and its tools and components.

    Step 1:Finding An Image
First find an image that you would like into a signature or graphic. I found a multi-colour background image which is perfect for this guide, since you can't use the "Magic Wand Tool" to edit this render. Simply right click and copy the image. Then open Photoshop if you haven't done so yet.

    Step 2:Opening A New File
Now go File>New, make the document size what ever you like- I made mine 400x120 pixels.

    Step 3:Importing/Pasting Your Image
To bring the image you copied in go Edit>Paste or CTRL+V.

    Step 4:Moving The Image
The image will appear in the middle somewhere, if you don't like its placement move it around with the "Move Tool" simply by clicking and dragging the image.

    Step 5:Cutting Out Your Image
This is where it gets tricky if you have never used this tool. First Zoom In so you get a better view of your image. Then click "Polygonal Lasso Tool (L)." When you selected that its time to start cutting your image out! This tool is used in steps, kind of like connect the dots. Start anywhere on your image and work your way around. The black dots in the image below show where you need to click, and the red lines show the boarder of where it will cut. Do small pieces at a time, deleting segments as you go along. To delete, click along the edge of the image for a short distance, then click in the opposite direction of the image, you need to in close the space to be able to delete what your cutting out. The blue lines show where to make your lines go when you want to in close cut-out box. Simply go back to point "A" or your first point when in closing. When it is in closed the boarder you made should highlight. When it does this hit "delete." The in closed area should now be blank, move on an do a next piece of the image.

-Tip- The more you use this tool the quicker and easier it is for you to edit images. Just practice with it.

Step 6: Finishing Cutting Out Your Image
Just continue what i'm doing and keep cutting the image out piece by piece, this took me about 2 minutes to edit, but if your new it will most likely take 10+ minutes.

    Step 7: Deleting Excess Image
To get rid of extra image bits, simply go around it quickly with the lasso tool then hit delete- Make sure the only thing you have left is your image and no stray bits and pieces.

    Step 8:Finishing It Off
Make 2 new layers, 1 for the background and 1 for a brush/ effect. Click the background layer and add an image or create an effect behind your render, do what ever looks good in your mind.

    Step 9:Final Out Come
Yours may not turn out like this but I added smoke with the brush tool and smudged it.[These effects will be showed in my next guide]

I hope you all liked my guide and it clearly showed you how to cut out your images. I try to make it as easy as possible to understand.

    Basic Render Guide

---In my next guide, I will explain how I made the smoke effects and how to make your signature look amazing with different effects.---

There are renders that has black holes in the middle of a render, for example in between the arm and the body.

How do I remove that with the magic wand tool?

If its one solid colour, simply set the tolerances anywhere from 1-50, the background can't be a similar colour as the area your cutting out. If the magic wand wont work, use the method in the guide above.
