    Antchak's Melee Guide.

    Hey Guys!!
Ok, so far I've posted a Ranged Guide, a Magic Guide, a Fire Cape guide, and a small PvP guide. Seems to me you guys like the mage and range guides the best. So it seems to me I have to make a melee guide now. I hope you enjoy this!

First things first. This guide is NOT a "fastest way 2 99 str" or "def tanking guide". This is a COMPLETE guide; I will show the fastest ways to the capes and also the ways to make lots of cash off your capes. For the record, this guide does show how to kill Bandits, but it shows many other methods considered obsolete or methods that are little know. This guide is also detailed from an impure standpoint; all the monsters will require defense to kill and the guide details methods to raise your all your stats simultaneously UNTIL level 70, where you chose to "split" your stats (more details later!)

I would also like to point out that this guide assumes that you have been training ranged, magic, and prayer during your journey. For help on ranged, click here. For magic help, click here.

    Starting Off....

I really hope you are smart enough to figure out these levels yourself, but just for the sake of the "Complete" guide I so described I will cover levels 1-70.

Levels 1-10 (Strength, Attack, and Defense)

Pretty basic. If your a new player pick up a "skilling" skill (such as woodcutting or mining) and make yourself about 50k (many people, however, will not create a character and train combat nonstop :p ).

Buy yourself the following: A full set of iron armor, a full set of black armor, an iron scimitar, a steel scimitar, and a black scimitar.

Ok equip your iron and head east of Lumbridge. Kill these goblins until 10 in Strength, Attack, Defense. Train the stats in this order: 5 attack (equip your steel scimitar), 5 defense, 5 strength, then 10 attack (equip your black scimitar), 10 defense (equip your black armor), then 10 strength.

    Levels 10-20 (Attack, Strength, Defense)

Ok, your going to want to head to barbarian village. Kill the Lv. 8 Barbarians until you get 20 in each stat. I recommend buying a set of mithril and a scimitar before heading here. Bring some food (shrimps/anchovies/herring are fine, you only have like 15hp!) start taking them down. Again, at this level I recommend training attack to 15 first, then 15 defense, then 15 strength, then 20 attack (equip scimitar), 20 defense (equip mithril armor), 20 strength.

    Levels 20-30 (Attack, Strength, Defense)

*Fill inventory with food and wear your iron armor.

Turn around and head down the ! that is in the centre of Barbarian Village. This dungeon called the Stronghold of Security. Using the map below, complete the stronghold. Loot the chest after every level. In the end you will receive about 10k and some (cool looking) boots.

Now bank your loot and put on your mithril again. Go to the first level of the Stronghold and kill the level 12 Minotaurs and the level 14 Wolves. Bury
the bones that the minotaurs drops; it will raises your prayer quickly.

Kill these in the same order as before, 5 attack levels, then 5 defense levels, then 5 strength levels, repeat.

Stay here (banking if you run out of food) until 30/30/30. If we assume your hitpoints are also around 30 and your prayer is 15, you are now Level 37.

*Now is the time to complete every single F2P quest except for Dragon Slayer.

    Levels 30-45

Go to the second level as the Stronghold and kill Flesh Crawlers. They have low defense, rarely hit, and have a max hit of 1.

Option B. If you are P2P, after you achieve 40/40/40, head to Rock Crabs north east of Relleka.

You have 1 more option; monks at the monastery north north-west of barbarian village. Train these until 40 attack and 45 strength if you wish; they are decent experience and they will never hit you.

At level 40 defense, you might want to start killing Deadly Red Spiders in the Varrock Sewers. These are great experience. However, I cannot stress enough, at these levels whatever you like to train on is fine. IT WILL NOT greatly affect speed of leveling (a the most by a day, unless your level 40 and your trying to fight greaters)

    Dragon Slayer

After you are about 50 combat (45/45/45, 45 hitpoints, and 25 prayer is 55!) you are going to want to do Dragon Slayer. You gain access to the rune chest plate (probably the most used chest in the game, due to the fact its extremely cheap and provides decent stat defense bonuses).

If you would like a quest guide for this quest, click here.

When completed at the levels I wrote above, you will be 47 defense and 47 strength.

    Levels (45+) to 60

This is tough. I was f2p on all my accounts when I did this; I did lessers. Not bad training; I fished the lobsters, cooked them, then killed lessers and repeated. Not bad experience, basically free. Cons: Busy sometimes

Another method: Rock Crabs are still good but boring. If you have access to yaks then kill them. Experiments are also good but often crowded with pures.

I'm sorry if these levels aren't detailed; I am really at a loss here and I'll try and make up for it later.

Levels 60-70 (Attack, Strength, and Defense

I highly recommend doing slayer using Vannaka or Chaeldar. The levels in combat flash past as you are not focused on them and you get some free slayer levels.

If slayer is not your thing, Dagganoths are good IF you have good armor. You will waste a lot of food though.

Moss Giants are decent training; if these are also not your thing then head back to the good old stronghold and kill Giant Spiders on level 3.

Ok....Your finally 70/70/70 with about 70 hits and (hopefully) 43 prayer. Time to get down to the real training.....

From this point onwards, the monsters I will list are good until 99. So instead of listing "Levels 70-99" I will just write several mini-guides on the best monsters to train on, and the monsters that will make you the most cash.

    Bandits: The Kings of AFK

Ok we've all read countless "best 99 str guide evr" and its always bandits. This is not necessarily true. These are up there in the best however.

Bandits are located in the Desert. The ones we will focus on are level 57.

Ok all you need is good armor, a good weapon, a zamorak or saradomin item, and Guthans (or a few hundred thousand dollars: 300k for example and 2000 noted tuna).

This is the most highly recommended inventory!!!

You can replace my dragon mace with a dragon dagger super poisoned (dds), or any weapon you want to special with. This extra weapon is NOT necessary. If you cannot afford or do not want to use guthans, bring about 300k with you, an inventory of food, and a lot of noted food. Every time you run you of food, sell some of your noted food to the general store and buy it back un-noted. Presto! You could stay here forever!

    Gear

If you can afford this gear this is what I recommend:

If you cannot afford this gear, then wear something like this:

*I recommend Dragon Boots (they were not out at the time :p ). If you are training Strength, use a Dragon Scimitar.

    Where to Kill

Green: An okay spot, you will get 2 bandits, sometimes a third will wander over.
White: The spots you will use prayer in. Bandits are level 74 in here.
Red: The second best non prayer spot, you get two bandits. Better than the blue spot if you have less that 80 defense.
Blue: The best spot (not including prayer) if you have 80+ def. You get 3 bandits.

    Praying at Bandits

In the pub (white dots on location map above) many bandits wander. Going in here without prayer will get you hit often as you can be attacked by up to 7 level 74 bandits.

    Gear for praying:

Now, you have to find a world. Bandits are probably the busiest spot for training in the game due to the ease of the experience gained and the low damage taken. Finding a world will be frustrating, and when you find one, someone ten levels higher might log in and try to steal your spot. I'd normally say just hop; not worth the waste of experience. But despite this I always fought for the spots. I remember when I was level 100 I would lure the bandits outside the tents so they couldn't afk, I would provoke them into swearing so I could report them, anything to piss them off enough to make them hop :p .

    Pros

-Fast Experience (50k+ experience per hour at approximately 85 strength, 80 attack, and 75 defense)
    -Extremely easy to afk train
-Bandits hit rarely and have little defense

    Cons

    -Very crowded
    -Can be frustrating
    -No drops

    Training With Slayer

I can't really offer a mini-guide for slayer; its just too obvious/random. I can give you a picture of recommended gear; this is what is recommended:

LOL@ My attempt to make the slayer gear look like a burned piece of paper...:p

If you can't afford that use a setup similar to this:

Tips for slayer: NO GODSWORDS! Yes I know you love it; I love my ags too. However godswords are too slow to be good for training slayer, the whip over any other weapon, regardless of what stat you are training, is recommended. Two handed weapons are discouraged as many slayer monsters need off hands (like special shields or lanterns). If you don't have a whip use the dragon scimitar.

    Ape Atoll

Ah the monkey guards of ape atoll. You will take no damage here; except for some poison damage, so instead of food bring super anti poisons. Bring a few pieces of food just in case.

Recommended Stats for good experience ~ Minimum Stats for alright experience(Not including Super Pot's)

    ~~85+ strength~75 Strength
    ~~85+ attack~70 attack
    ~~60+ prayer~43 attack
    ~~80+ Hitpoints~??? hitpoints
    ~~70+ Defense~??? defense

    My Gear

If you cannot afford a godsword, I recommend the Saradomin Sword. The only reason the GodSword is the best choice is because we are using prayer and potions, so rather than hitting faster 20's and 30's, you want to hit 50's. This is one of the only places you want to use a slow weapon to train. If you are training attack, use the whip.

    Dharoking

Dharoking utilizes Dharok the Wretched's barrows set. The lower your health, the higher you will hit. This is why I put 70+ defense in the recommended. However, I only recommend dharoking for those with 85+ attack and 85+ strength (not including prayer and pot!) because the weapon is very slow and hitting 0's will greatly slow the experience gain.

WARNING: Be comfortable in your dharoks: practice before you come here, being at low health is somethings kind of scary for the first little while. Always keep your health above 16 here as this is the monkey guards max hit, and because the level 1 spiders can poison quite high.

    Pros

    ~Fast experience at higher levels
    ~Unlimited prayer
~Sometimes busy but its multi combat with many spawns so it doesn't matter

    Cons

~Small spiders can poison you (lv 1's, with two second respawns)
~You cannot run through the moneys (if they force you into a corner you won't be able to get out unless you kill them, like brawlers in Pest Control)
    ~Bad place to AFK train
    ~Kind of boring sometimes

Under The Sea, Under the Sea,....

But not really. We're actually heading under the Lighthouse. For this training spot you will need to have completed the quest Horror From the Deep.

High Level Attack and Strength Gear

Your going to want to wear something like this if your over 90 strength and 85 attack. If you plan on staying awhile, wear bandos or dragon armor instead so your guthans doesn't break too quickly (a long time as in weeks).

Keep guthans spear in your inventory, a bunch of super sets (or just super str) and some emergency food.

Setup Number 2: The Slayer Setup

Dagganoths are a common slayer task; this setup is probably the best for slayer here.

The bandos armor can be replaced with dragon and a fighter torso if you cannot afford it. Keep guthans in your inventory or just bring sharks or monkfish. You might want to bring a cannon for faster slayer kills and more experience. Keep in mind this will piss everyone off.

    Cheap Set-Up

    [IMG]OR[IMG]

Both setups are pretty good, bring sharks and a super set in your inventory. This setup is geared more towards with with lower than 85 attack and 90 strength; the godsword will not hit high or often enough if you are below and healing with guthans will be a pain.

    Killing the Dagganoths

Get as many Dagganoths on you as you can. Now go to www.watch-movies.net and watch movies while training (you don't have to but it makes things more fun). This is my favorite AFK spot because its not as busy as Bandits, the drops are marginally better (they drop snapdragon seeds about every 50-100 kills) and they rarely hit. The level 74's especially. When the daggs become non-aggressive just exit the Lighthouse completely and re-enter.

Tip: If watching movies, turn the Music off on Runescape and the background sound off, but leave the sound on (so you can't hear Music or water hitting the shore sounds but you can still hear your weapon hitting the dagganoths. Hard to explain, when you open the sound options in the wrench part of your backpack (where run % is) there should be 3 levels of sound. Turn off the one labeled with a musical note and turn off the one that has two or three speakers. leave on the one with the single speaker. Try it you will understand when you see it :p

    Pros

    ~Great experience
    ~Alright drops
~With 80+ you are rarely hit
~Great for AFK (second best to bandits because bandits are permanently aggressive while these are about 30mins aggressive).

    Cons

    ~Sometimes busy

    Yaks

You will need theFremmenik Isles quest.

Yaks will most likely never hit you; if they do its super rare and its a 1. Therefore wear the best strength boosting gear you can. I would recommend Void Knight Melee for its 10% damage bonus. If you don't have void just where your best strength bonus gear, but it doesn't really matter.

Kill them over and over and over. Sometimes it can be very crowded.

    Pros

    ~Decent xp
~No food or good armor required

    Cons

~You can't afk, and the lack of drops/excitement makes this soooo boring
    ~Very boring lol :p
~Crowded (Yes I know which worlds are empty for the people who will comment and say, some worlds are empty if you know which ones, and I'm not saying otherwise they won't be empty anymore :p )
    ~BORING
~Because its so boring it feels slow.

    Giant Spiders

Again, another popular method. Single combat so you take less damage.

    Recommended Gear:

Again, if you cannot afford this:

    [IMG]OR[IMG]

To make it even cheaper, you can replace all bits of armor with rune.

The technique: Very simple, go to the third floor and kill the giant spiders. The biggest problem is the spiders become unaggressive quite quickly (about 10 minutes).

    Making Cash off Melee

That's the end of the power training section, now its time to move on to how you can make some dough and get some experience. Remember though, the better the drops the slower the experience.

    Mithril Dragons

    "Requirements"

    ~~90+ Attack
    ~~90+ Strength
    ~~90+ Defense
    ~~90+ Hits
    ~~75+ Prayer

Gear: This is what you should wear to mithril dragons.

    Best ~~ Good ~~ Worst

Helm: Helm of Neitiznot > Berserker Helm > Fighter Hat --> Slayer Helm***
Neck: Amulet of Fury > God Stole > Amulet of Glory
Gloves: Barrows Gloves > Dragon Gloves > Dragon Gauntlets
Boots: Bandos Boots > Dragon Boots > Rune Boots
Chest: Karil's Top > Armadyl Chestplate > Black D'Hide Chest
Legs: Karil's Leatherskirt > Armadyl Legs > Black D'Hide Chaps
Ring: Berserker Ring > Warrior Ring > Ring of Wealth > Ring of Life
Cape: Fire Cape > Skill Cape (t) > Skill Cape
Weapon: Abyssal Whip > Dragon Scimitar
Shield: DragonFire Shield > Anti Dragon Shield
***If on a slayer task wear this instead of neitiznot!

    Inventory

    Inventory Number 1:

    15 Sara Brews (4)
    5 Super Restores (4)
    2 Anti Fire Potions
    2 Super Strength Potions (4)
    2 Super Attack Potions (4)
    Games Necklace
    1 click teleport

    Inventory Number 2:

    Super set (4)
    4 Super Restore (4) > Prayer pots (4)
    Anti Fire Potion (4)
    18 Manta Ray > Tuna+Corn Potatoes > Turtles > Sharks > Mushroom+Onion Potatos
    Games necklace
    1 Click Teleport

You will last longer with the Sara brews but it will be a lot more expensive. Range is probably my chosen way of killing mithril dragons, but this is a melee guide!
EDIT: Museke has asked me to tell you how to brew properly. The Sara Brews will raise your defense and hitpoints (by 15) and lowers your attack and defense. It is advised that when you drink your brews you wait until you are going to heal 30 or more hp, as a super restore restores all (except hitpoints) lowered stats.

If you have 90+ prayer, it is recommended you use boosting prayers, such as Ultimate Strength or Pietyand a super set. Melee is not the best method, but not the worst. You're going to be praying melee throughout the fight(s), so you want to keep your magic defense high without sacrificing too much strength bonus.

    PKing Remembered...

Out with the old..in with the new. I loved the old system, I loved Bounty Hunter, and I like the new system. There WILL BE a PvP section at the bottom, but I'd like to show this snapshot now just so you get an idea of what kind of cash you can make!

I would just like to say, this picture is not fake. The images compiled into it were all taken at different points in my RuneScape journey (the bank photo was actually taken a few years ago; some of those holiday items were worthless then!). Some of them are very old, and some of them are very new. I'm not saying if you PKed your bank will look like that, just wanted to share with you some of my most exciting experiences.

    God Wars Dungeon

    Bandos Godwars Guide

Ok this part of the guide will focus on the killing of the Bandos General. JaGeX describes GodWars as the most dangerous place in the game; personally I agree. God Wars was te most dangerous place UNTIL the Corporeal Beast took up residence. Many people will dismiss my claims and say that it not dangerous at all; about 95% of the time this is true. When everyone wears and does what they're supposed to everything is fine. However, when fighting the Generals, if a crucial mistake is made it is a distinct possibility to lose your life.

Bandos is probably the least dangerous section of God Wars for a group, and by far the easiest to solo (if you know how!). Bandos is also the busiest section of God Wars, due to the fact that it has the most common hilt drop plus expensive armor drops. It is also very busy because this boss can be melee'd (unlike armadyl, which is the second most popular, it is only less popular because MANY more people have high melee than range). Enough of my sermon.

    Damage Dealers: Recommended Skills
Many people will go to God Wars lower than this but you will waste a lot in supplies and boss killing won't be as efficient.

    ~~80+ Defense
    ~~85+ Attack
    ~~85+ Strength
    ~~65+ Prayer
~~70+ Range (Needed for Karil's Armour)
    ~~60+ agility (optional)
~~20m+ in total wealth would be an advantage
    ~~52+ Summoning (Terrorbird)

    Damage Gear

Helm: Helm of Neitiznot > Berserker Helm > *Guthan's Helm
Neck: Amulet of Fury > Amulet of Glory > Gnome Amulet of Defense
Chest: Karil's Leathertop > Saradomin Dragonhide > Black D'Hide Body
Legs: Torag's Platelegs (Karil's Skirt is fine if you are 90+ defense) > Bandos Tassets > Verac's Plateskirt
Boots: Dragon Boots > Bandos Boots > Climbing Boots
    Cape: Fire Cape > Skillcape(t) > Skillcape
Gloves: Barrows Gloves > Dragon Gloves > Rune Gloves
    Ammo: N/A
Ring: Berserker Ring > Ring of Wealth** > Ring of Life
Weapon: Abyssal Whip > Dragon Scimitar***
2H Weapon (If using 2h): Armadyl Godsword > Bandos Godsword****
Shield: Dragonfire Shield > Dragon Square Shield

*Wear if you are bringing Guthan's in your inventory for healing.
**Ring of Wealth does NOT increase LootShare percentage but it does increase drop percentage. Therefore, if everyone wears Ring of Wealth the chance of a hilt or armor drop chance is increased.
    ***NOT RECOMMENDED
****An effective setup with a good team is to have one or more damage dealers with the Bandos Godsword to lower the bosses defense. Then the person (if you have one) with the Ags can do powerful damage.

    Tank: Recommended Requirements

    ~~90+ Defense
    ~~90+ Attack
    ~~90+ Hits
    ~~75+ Prayer
    ~~68+ Summoning (War Tortoise)
    ~~40m+ would be an advantage

    Offensive Tank Gear**

    95+ Defense
    95+ Attack
    85+ Prayer
    95+ Strength

*Note the Saradomin Godsword. The best godsword for the tank with under 95 defense is the Zamorak Godsword. The tank can freeze the boss, step back, and while the boss is focused on him the damage dealers go to town. I bring the Saradomin Godsword in personal preference; I heal/restore prayer on the Sergeants.
**An offensive tank is a fictional name I made up for a tank that is geared as a damage dealer wearing melee armor; he will probably do the most damage of anyone due to his armor's high strength bonus and powerful weapon. He will also take the most damage. The tank job is the most expensive and the most important; offensive tanking makes it that much more fun!

    Defenseive Tank

This is the standard tank. Your job is to sponge up the damage. There are MANY different setups. Instead of magic defense you want range defense.

    Best > Worst

Helm: Many good helms. Suggested: Torag's, Verac's, or Neitiznot
Neck: Amulet of Fury > Gnome Amulet of Defense
    Chest: Torag's Platebody > Bandos Chestplate > Verac's Brassard
    Legs: Torag's Platelegs > Bandos Tassets > Verac's Skirt
Boots: Bandos Boots > Dragon Boots
Gloves: Dragon Gauntlets > Barrows Gloves > Dragon Gloves
Ring: Berserker Ring > Ring of Wealth > Ring of Life
    Weapon: Abyssal Whip
Shield: Elysian Spirit Shield > Dragonfire Shield > Dragon Square Shield
    2H Weapon: Zamorak Godsword/Saradomin Godsword > Armadyl/ Bandos Godsword

A great method of tanking is to instead wear a full set of guthans. The defense bonus is pretty good and you eat less. This method is highly recommended if you are staying for a long time.

    Killcount

Kill the goblins where the cyan square is. Hobgoblins are near the red square. You will need 40 Bandos Kills to enter the boss room.

    The Method

If you are not wearing a banods item: Make sure you know if anyone is in the boss room.
Protect magic on; use your hammer on the door and run through to the boss room. Only do this after the step below has taken place. I recommend the tank (I recommend all people actually) wear bandos boots, it gives you the advantage of preparation and not wasting food/prayer.

    When entering the door:

The Tank enters first. Before entering he should drink a dose of super potion, and he must put protect melee on. Give him a few seconds to pick up the boss, then the most powerful damage dealer should enter. Then the next most powerful damage dealer, until everyone is inside. Kill the boss first, then then the mage (I believe he is Sergeant Steelwill but I do not remember), then spread out over.

Praying at the altar now if you have little prayer is a good idea. You can only pray once every 10 minutes, so the sooner you pray now, the sooner you can pray later.

Now, you have about 30 seconds before the respawn. The tank should stand near the middle of the room, with his air spell highlighted. This means he will only have to one-click to have the boss on him when he respawns. Again, if you have the zamorak godsword, freeze him and walk away. This is quite useful.

That's it for Bandos. Bandos is the most effective boss to melee. Zamorak is also not bad. I will eventually update this guide to include Zamorak and Sardomin

    King Black Dragon Slaying

The King Black Dragon, though admittedly not as infamous as he one once, is still quite a formidable opponent to someone unaware of the tactics used to kill him. He was once the strongest monster in RuneScape, but due to updates of the last year and a half (2006-08) he has fallen to the 17th strongest monster. He very powerful though, and can one hit a player not wearing an anti dragon breath shield. He is not very popular to kill anymore, as every one of his drops can be obtained from monsters far easier to kill. However, it is still tough to find a lootshare world, as some high leveled clans will stay here for hours, waiting for a Draconic Visage to drop, and at a high level, it is easily possible to stay here a while.
Although a lower level than the mithril dragon, the King Black Dragon has been coined more dangerous, as he has 3 types of breaths (due to his 3 heads). However, this argument about power has been raging since mithril dragon's release, but quite frankly, who cares?

    Recommended Stats

    70+ Attack and Defense
    65+ Strength
    50+ Prayer
    70+ Hitpoints

    Gear

First off I want to point out range is more effective. Again this is a melee guide though so I will cover it from a melee standpoint. There are two ways to kill him: with prayer, and without prayer.

    Without Prayer

The picture I showed for mithril dragons is again the most effective melee gear.

Best > Next Best > Fair > Poor

Helm: Helm of Neitiznot > Berserker Helm > Karil's Coif
Neck: Amulet of Fury > Amulet of Glory > Berserker Necklace
Chest: Karil's Leathertop > Black (or blessed) D'Hide Chest > Fighter Torso
    Legs: Karil's Leatherskirt > Black D'Hide Chaps > Torag's Platelegs
Boots: Bandos Boots > Dragon Boots > Snakeskin Boots
Gloves: Barrows Gloves > Dragon Gauntlets > Dragon Gloves
Weapon: Abyssal Whip > Dragon Scimitar
Shield: Dragonfire Shield > Anti-Dragon Shield
Cape: Fire Cape > Skillcape (t) > Skillcape > Any cape
    *Highly Recommend First In List

    With Prayer

Helm: Verac's Helm > Proselyte Helm > Initiate Helm
Neck: God Stole > Amulet of Fury > Amulet of Glory
Chest: Verac's Brassard > Proselyte Chest > Initiate Chest
Legs: Verac's Plateskirt > Proselyte Legs > Initiate Legs
Boots: Bandos Boots > White Boots > Dragon Boots
Cape: Skillcape (t) > Fire Cape > Skillcape > Any cape
Gloves: Barrows Gloves > Dragon Gauntlets > Dragon Gloves
Weapon: Abyssal Whip > Dragon Scimitar
Shield: Dragonfire Shield > Anti Dragon Shield

(All the above gear, including without prayer, is set for soloing. If you are going with a group you can use the next best, fair, or poor gear. If you are soloing it is recommended you use the gear in the "best" column. The larger your group, the worse gear you can wear.)

    The Inventory

I won't included a picture for inventory because its mostly preference and size of your group. This is an example of a good inventory without prayer (For a 5 person level 100 group):

    2 Anti Fire Potions (4)
2 Super Strength (4) (Solo'ers replace with super defense)
    2 Super Attack (4)
    House Teleport Tablet
    2 Super Anti Poison (4)
    18 Sharks

With prayer replace 2 or 3 of your sharks with prayer potions(4).

    The Killing

The actual killing is quite simple. Before you pull the lever, drink an anti fire potion. Do not drink your super potions yet in case the world is occupied. If unoccupied, the King Black Dragon will begin to attack you. Your group should make a shape around him (if your 3 people, make a triangle, 4 people a square, 5 or more a circle, etc.) so he has to turn to attack. If you are using prayer use protect magic. After he is dead make a wider shape around the center of the arena; he can respawn in different places of the middle. If using a familiar there is a summoning obelisk in the top left corner.

Ok...this guide is about 7.5/10 done. I'm posting this now in case my comp crashes or something. Not re-writing one day of work :p Rest will be finished soon!

Very nice guide, but I'd like to ask one thing: Could you please add how to brew properly at mith drags?
Because a lot of people don't know how to brew properly by combining with super restores.
They end up with like 40/90 attack and strength :p

    Antchak's Melee Guide.

Wow, great guide, I'll almost definately use it :)
In my experience, I found that with 99 attack and strength, using piety, void, whip, defender and super sets at monkey guards (ape atoll), I could hit around 80k def xp per hour, sometimes even pushing 100k.
