How to change your ChatZilla identity

Booted Off Chatzilla By SytheBot For No Reason?, Then It's Probably Your Identity.

Sometimes the SytheBot on chatzilla will boot/ban you from the IRC because of your "Identity".. this guide will show you how to change your identity so you won't get booted from the IRC unexpectedly.​

Step One:
Once you have opened the ChatZilla client, the top left corner in the user bar you should see "ChatZilla" icon click on it, and it should bring down a tab, click on "preferences"

Step 2:
Now in the top left box you should see a tab called "Global settings", click on that which should then take you into a section called "General"

Step 3:
Scroll down to the very bottom and you should see a section in there called "Identification". In that little section you will see "Username" and a white box next to it, in that white box type the new identity you want.. e.g sythe

Step 4:
Then click apply! and it should change, Allowing you to go back into the IRC.

Doesn't work.

Changed it to Username, then Sythe, then some random shit, doesn't work .

 

What do you mean it doesn't work? I just joined #sythe and no auto kick for me. Excellent guide venom.
