Ban reason: Lying to staff member about selling duped gold

I was told by Nano I should make a high pardon instead of a dispute.


So yeah I figured I'd give this a shot as I really think a permanent ban for this is unneeded and I have thought it through and want to explain myself.

It is 100% true that I was selling duped gold on Sythe a few weeks ago, but then again, every reseller on sythe who paid 10-30 cents per mill knew they were doing exactly the same.

I will agree that in a way, I put buyers at risk, however no one got wiped or banned for buying from me. If this was the case, I would infact pay everyone back who wasn't fully aware of the risk.

As for the part where I lied to staff about whether or not it was duped here's the explanation:

I said several times the gold was not from the crucible glitch, which it wasn't but it was from another dupe glitch. I 100% agree that I wasn't too forthcoming with the truth in this case and probably just should've said it was duped and that there might be a risk involved even though I had already transferred the gold around multiple times to new accounts with new ip's.

At one point, Karl also asked me if I was selling duped gold regardless of the method and I didn't answer him with a yes or no but pmed him an offensive PM back instead, sorry for that. I realise now I should've simply said yes or no to him, I don't even know exactly why I didn't just give a straight answer. I know it's not an excuse but I had long days with not much sleep and didn't think it through.

So yeah, I am sorry for the inconveniences caused and I never meant to put anyone at risk, luckily at the end no one got wiped or banned and if they did without knowing the risks, I would've happily repaid.

I have and will never attempt to scam anyone and have always been a legitimate member of the community since 2005.

 

I'm just gonna support this, I think selling duped gold is a dumb reason for Perm bans.

 

First of all your promise to repay any users who had their gold setback is bullshit because you know there's no way to prove it.

Perhaps he deserves to come back with a TWC. I'm not going to support this though because you were mocking staff and boasting about your situation.

 

We spoke for a long time on msn about this back when your ban was issued. No support, you willingly mislead staff and other users in order to maximize your profits. You had absolutely no concern for anyone except yourself

Meh, I would have supported your pardon if you had only been banned for selling duped RSGP, but with your additional ban reasons I can't support this right now. I'd like you to re-pardon in six months, if you show character change, and considering your community contributions, I could see myself supporting your pardon.
