Dispute ~ SmokeHut

Well I'd like to start this thread by apologizing to Stui.

But obviously in the situation I was in, I had right to question.

I can 100% assure you that I was not trying to frame him, I simply wanted answers. To my knowledge I'd forgotten that you cannot change the password without the email. Though my password was changed. Account cleaned, with a bank pin set. I really do not have a clue how this has managed to happen.

Surely you'll give me the benefit of not being a complete idiot to one, try to frame people that are highly trusted and highly respected on these forums. And two, to frame them by changing my password Via email, and then actually going through with it.. I'd have to be an absolute idiot.

I created the thread not trying to slander his name, I was simply posting it until I got in contact with him.

Genuinely my account was hacked, cleaned. Which leaves me with nothing, other people had access to the account so automatically I assumed it must be them. Which was clearly the wrong way looking at it.

I have no idea how this has happened, but yet again. I apologize to Stui as he is innocent completely.

Hopefully the reader of this understands the situation I was in, and had forgotten of the password change ability via email. Thanks for your time, Faithfully.. SmokeHut.

 

The absolute ONLY way the password could have been changed while your email remained on the account is if you changed it yourself. It could have been possible that someone recovered your account, but that would have meant that your email would have been removed. Or someone could have used a method to remove an unknown email and then set a new one with which to change the password, but again, your email was the one that was on the account the whole time.

I know of no other explanation that makes sense other than one where you were framing Stui. I would love to hear one if it exists, but I could not think of one. I asked a second opinion from a mod before I issued the ban because I really did not want this to be the only explanation, but we both concluded that it had to be.

I'll ask some other mods and runescape-savvy people to look into how something like this could have happened and see if they have any insight

 

There's no way the password could have been changed unless somebody had access to your email as well. Therefore, you did attempt to set Stui up and when you have shown reform you may request a high pardon.
