Getstabbed's Staking Guide

This is just a simple staking guide with a few methods on how to control your cash so you don't get cleaned and how to effectively avoid scammers and win more often.
The reason this is free because I think that most techniques I mention are common knowledge, and so would be pointless to buy.

1.1 Hey guys. This is getstabbed's first staking guide.
I will hopefully be updating this on a regular basis. In future versions, I want to add pictures to make this guide more user friendly. Good luck!

1.2 So first of all, you're going to want to find a staking account. If you have one yourself, that's fine.
There are a variety of staking accounts you can use.
The most popular is a maxed out 99 attack, strength and defence account. Most people will use these to stake.
Another type you can use is a "near maxed" account, which usually has 90 defence, 99 attack and strength. These are useful if you don't want to spend time getting to 99 defence.
There are also a variety of pures that you can use. For this, you will most likely want a tanker. 99 defence and hp ensures that you get an effective tanking account, and so you get hit less. I recommend a reasonable attack and strength with this kind of pure. Around 70 of each is useful.
If you wish to do mage boxing, an account with 99 mage, defence and hp will be sufficient. No other stats are needed.

People here will lend their staking accounts for an amount of money. I myself borrowed one for a day at a cost of 4m, which was made back within minutes.

1.3 Some people will try to scam you, so you should bring certain things just incase you are unaware of these scams. It is easy to avoid them, but as a last resort I will go through items you should bring with you.
Firstly, bring a strong shield. It is very popular for people to turn shields on and then be pretty much untouchable or at least get a much greater defence boost. I recommend a dragonfire shield, or even an elysian/divine if you can afford it. Make sure that your dragonfire shield is charged up if you are using one. This will give you +50 defence bonuses in everything.
You should also bring some high defence armour such as torag or even statius if you can afford it. Statius will degrade so I don't recommend it. However, it does give a high slash defence bonus. Another scam that people will try to use is when they do a whipping fight, they will take out a chaotic rapier. I recommend bringing one as well. They give a high stab bonus and can even out a fight if they try to use it. Another scam is summoning. They will turn summoning on and make it impossible for you to beat them. Because of this, I recommend 99 summoning and using a steel titan. Once again, this will even out the fight.
To avoid all of these methods of scamming, spam click the previous options button until they accept. Then you are free to accept without them being able to change the options.

1.4 Techniques used really depends on what kind of fight that you are doing. However, you will always want to try and get the first hit. This is how I choose to do a boxing fight. Do not spam click the other person, but instead right click them and wait for the counter to end. The first attack should be a punch. As soon as you hit, turn to block. Then as soon as they hit, turn back to attack. Repeat this throughout the entire fight. Never use kick, as this is less accurate and provides no defence.
Now I will give you the technique for a mage boxing fight. Firstly, make sure that you are on ancient magicks before starting the fight. This may seem obvious, but if you don't notice, you can lose a very large sum of money.
When you start the fight, make sure that you are auto casting blood barrage. If you are, then click on smoke barrage. Do not autocast smoke barrage, as you will only be using it once or twice. The reason that you start with smoke barrage is because it poisons the enemy, dealing an additional 40 damage every few seconds. I'm not sure if an Anti-poison totem works to stop this poison effect, but if you have one, I would strongly recommend bringing it just incase. After you have casted smoke barrage a couple of times, stop clicking it and let blood barrage autocast. It is a very accurate spell and can hit around 290 if you are 99 mage (which you shouldn't mage box without).

1.5 I should have probably mentioned this earlier, since this is one of the most essential things. If you want to make profit, you have to control your money. Set yourself a limit to how much you are going to stake (I took out 25m when I was staking). This amount should be around 1/4 of your bank, so that you have a load left if everything goes bad. I went straight in with 5m out of my 25 and won the stake. I then went on to win another 5m during the next stake. After that, I did a 2m stake and lost. If things are going your way, cut the amount that you are staking. Then if you lose the stake then you know you saved yourself money. At this point I had made 8m profit and then went on to only stake 2m at a time until I had reached 45m with my money. I did another two 5m stakes and won them both, once again cutting my stake which I won anyway. After this, I felt that I had made enough to move to 10m. Once again, I won this. I tried to stake 10m again but lost, moving back down to 5m which I also lost. At this point I felt that I had made enough profit for the time being, with a total profit of around 25m in under an hour.
If you are making a lot of money, you should give yourself a limit to the minimum amount of profit that you want to keep. For example, if you start off with 25m and get 50m, I would suggest that you leave with a minimum of 35m so that you guarantee some profit for yourself. Also, only stake a maximum of 1/5 of your current investment, or you may find yourself leaving with less money than you had hoped.
