My mom won't let me do anything!

I literally just now got out of a huge argument with my mom.

You have to let her know she has no choice. If you want to do something she can't stop you. Your 17 years old for god sakes. Go buy a bike, ride it through the house right past her and take a little ride around your neighborhood. When you come back see what she says.

I assure you it will not be as bad as you think. She cannot punish you, you can punish her if she is genuinely wrong. Not letting a 17 year old ride a bike is border line child abuse.

 

Lie to her and tell her you have done bad stuff to prove to her that you have't.

 

You should see a family therapist, and get help with all your issues!

 

Why don't you tell her exactly what you just wrote and reassure her that you won't get hurt. Explain to her why your thinking about joining the navy and maybe she'll realize how overprotective she is. Parents are people just like you and me, they will listen to reason and they sometimes make mistakes.

 

There's a simple answer to this. Fuck what your Mom thinks and says. It's your life and you do what you want. So what if you're not allowed out. Open the door, walk out and realise that you're then out. She can't tie you up or beat you up if you do go out, so what's the worse that can happen?
Have a talk with her.

 

People who are saying he should just wait it out, are wrong.

Without the experience of being out in public places, biking, taking risks and everything along those lines you'll really be handicapped as an adult. Have a one on one discussion with your mother regarding the fact that she's having trouble letting you go, and that she needs to put trust into you. There is absolutely no way to gain trust, without taking risks.

 

Fuck her. Just walk the fuck out the house. Gather up some friends. Get high as fuck. And have a good time. Come back home she will yell and gorund you. Who gives a shit. Repeat step one.

Soon you will realize moms cant do shit.

Well if you can't get out your house alot and do what you want to do it shows your not bad enough, In my opinion you should just go do what you want then your parent/carer might actually realise it's not that bad.
