    Alert for different IP adresses.

I'm not sure if this would be possible but I assume that it is.

Possibly have it where a notification pops up (like the PM notification) That alerts some one when there account has been logged on from a different location. It would help with all the account hackings the seem to be going on.

Actually, this would help cut down hackers. This is a really legitimate idea. I fully support. As well as it says where it's been logged in / the IP it's logged in with?

Not sure if this is possible and would be a real PITA for people with dynamic IPs or using VPNs etc.

Even if the user happened to be online while their account were being hacked, it'd still be relatively unlikely that they'd refresh and read the notice in time to do anything about it. Hackers would simply learn to wait until the user's forum status switched to offline, and make changing the password their first priority.

Besides, most of the important hackings lately have been related to email accounts, not sythe accounts.

    Alert for different IP adresses.

It's a simple pop up like the current PM system. Nothing that doesnt take less than a second to close out of.

This would be nice but i think he meant like a pop up notification.
I suggested something similar and it turns out the Sythe would have to upgrade the whole system to be able to get something like that working.

I don't really see the point of this. There hasn't been any Sythe.org account hackings, or email addresses/MSNs. There's absolutely no need for this, and it's more than a simple mod. Someone would likely have to create it from scratch.

Their MSNs were hacked, NOT their Sythe.org account. This suggestion only applies to Sythe.org accounts, which is why I made the statement I did. This would be completely useless, as people getting their Sythe.org accounts compromised is a nonexistent issue.

FireZ MSN was hacked. His Sythe.org account was banned as a precaution, not because someone was going around on it scamming people. If you wish me to restate this a fourth time, please just tell me.

No need to be an ass. I'm not that active on sythe anymore. I saw that he was banned and people saying he was hacked therefore i thought he was hacked both sythe acc and msn.

here a few people that have been hacked from the first page of acc recovery
    here
    here
    here

    just a few.

First, I think we should deem the term hacked as an inappropriate term. No one on Sythe.org has ever gotten hacked. I can assure you of that. Phished or keylogged? Possibly. So to give the idea that people can just get hacked out of the blue by some "1337 hacker" is a misleading picture. If you keep your computer safe, along with your details, you will never lose control of your account.

Second, this suggestion wouldn't be all that useful. If someone finds out someone else's password, they'd change it, not just leave it be and let the person log in again (usually).

When I said nonexistent, I didn't mean that in the history of Sythe.org no one has ever lost control of their account. I meant it happens to so few people, there's no need to put so much effort and resources into this. There is no mod for this. Someone would have to code it from scratch, and even then, if it checked while you were logged in as well, the server load would be very high. If it only said the last IP to log in when you logged in, it really wouldn't be very useful.

Excuse me, but who are you sir? You haven't even been here for a month - and you think you're saying no one really ever loses their Sythe account?

Please come again. More people than you know have lost their Sythe account due to getting their main email (that's linked with their Sythe.org account) compromised, and which their account can be taken over.

If I'm correct that's no longer possible but I still support this suggestion if theres some kind of Vb add on if not I don't think it's likely.

Not where it was logged in, just the IP.

IMO: I would also add it only shows where its logged in other than the IP that you created it from, and maybe you could have an option where you can add different IP's to say that there "OK" to use the account from. Anyway, I support this.

Won't this ruin the use of proxies? And who does the notification go to? The hacker?? I'm a little confuzzled.

Also, only my Sythe account was hacked. It had capitalizations and wasn't a word - basically just a pattern from a song where i hit each key for each beat of the song. My msn wasn't touched, nor my facebook, rs, etc.
